Objective adipokines secreted by retinal adipose tissue can affect insulin resistance,hyperlipidemia,atherosclerosis and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.Recent studies have found that the level of Omentin-1 is highly correlated with acute cardiovascular diseases,but the relationship between Omentin-1 and cerebrovascular diseases has been rarely studied.The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between the level of Omentin-1 and the onset,severity and prognosis of acute cerebral infarction(ACI)at 90 days,as well as the dynamic evolution of serum level of Omentin-1 after acute stroke.Methods 110 ACI patients(case group)and 113 health check-up subjects(control group)admitted to the department of neurology of our hospital from December 2016 to January2018 were selected for the serum level of Omentin-1.Meanwhile,clinical data and information of the enrolled patients were collected and grouped for statistical analysis of Omentin-1 and related data.Results the number of male patients,smoking history,drinking history,atrial fibrillation,the proportion of coronary heart disease,the number of white blood cells,cystatin C,glycosylated hemoglobin and homocysteine in the case group were all higher than those in the control group,and the serum level of omentin-1 was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that smoking history,coronary heart disease,white blood cell count,glycosylated hemoglobin and serum Omentin-1 level were closely related to the incidence of acute cerebral infarction(P<0.05).Omentin-1level in patients with moderate and severe neurological impairment(NIHSS>3 points)was lower than that in patients with mild neurological impairment(NIHSS?3 points)(P=0.001).Serum Omentin-1 level was lower in patients with infarction volume<5cm 3than in patients with infarction volume < 5cm3(P<0.001).The NIHSS score and infarct volume in the group with poor prognosis were higher than those in the group with good prognosis(P<0.001;P<0.001),serum Omentin-1 level was lower than that of the good prognosis group(P =0.001).The level of Omentin-1 was negatively correlated with NIHSS score,infarction lesion volume and m Rs score(r=-0.254,P=0.008;r=-0.274,P =0.004;r=-0.284,P = 0.004).Conclusion 1.The level of serum Omentin-1 in patients with acute cerebral infarction was significantly decreased,and was negatively correlated with the degree of nerve function defect and the infarction volume;2.The level of serum Omentin-1 in the acute cerebral infarction group showed a dynamic fluctuation,significantly decreased in the acute stage,and then showed an upward trend,after which the level was still lower than that of the healthy control group;3.The level of serum Omentin-1 was related to the short-term prognosis of acute cerebral infarction group.Therefore,serum Omentin-1 may be used as a serum marker to evaluate the severity of acute cerebral infarction and predict short-term prognosis.
