| Objective The purpose of this study was to observe the efficacy and safety of Wenjin-g Huoxue decoction in the treatment of Capecitabine-induced Hand-foot Syndrome(HFS).We can conclude the therapeutic effect of the self-made external washing presc ription on HFS.And the trial can offer a new intervention for the treatment of HFS.Methods In this study,60 patients with HFS,who had taken Capecitabine alone or combined with Capecitabine,in our hospital from January 2018 to December 2018 were volunteered to join the clinical study and signed the informed consent form.The patients were randomly divided into Observation Group and Control Group with 30 cases each.Observation Group:When the patients took vitamin B6 orally,they washed their hands and feet by fumigating with Wenjing Huoxue decoction.Control Group: Taking the Vitamin B6 tablets with warming water washing.The study lasted for 21 days and with an observation period of 21 days.At the end of this study,the researchers evaluated patients' HFS grade,KPS score,TCM syndrome score,and Drug Safety.Result 1.The change of HFS grade: In the Observation Group:19 cases were cured,7 cases were effective,4 cases were ineffective,the total effective rate was 86.67%.In the Control Group:11 cases were cured,6 cases were effective,13 cases were ineffective,the total effective rate was 56.67%.The difference between the two groups was statistically sign-ificant(P=0.027,P<0.05).2.The change of KPS score: In the Observation Group,the KPS score was(75.37±5.49)before treatment and(85.57±7.62)after treatment,among which 15 patients had improved KPS,14 patients were stable and 1 patient had decreased.In the Control Group,the KPS score was(74.60±4.65)before treatment and(77.93±8.04)after treatment,among which 7 patients had improved KPS,17 patients were stable and 6 patients had decreased.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P=0.012,P<0.05).3.The change of TCM Syndrome score:In the Observation Group,there were 8 patients with significant effect of TCM syndrome,19 patients with effective,3 patients with no effect.The total effective rate was 90%.In the Control Group,there were 3 patients with significant effect of TCM syndrome,13 patients with effective,14 patients with no effect.The total effective rate was 53.33%.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P=0.00 2,P<0.05).4.Drug Safety and adverse events:Before and after treatment,there was no significant difference in liver function and renal function between the two groups,and no skin allergy,skin toxicity and other adverse events occurred.Conclusion 1.Wenjing Huoxue decoction can effectively reduce the grade of HFS,and alleviate the clinical symptoms of hand and foot,such as abnormal sensation,numbness,tingling,swelling,erythema,desquamation and so on,so as to prevent further development of HFS.2.Wenjing Huoxue decoction can effectively improve the score of KPS,and obviously improve the ability of daily life of patients,especially in general activities,including walking,holding objects,washing face and combing hair,general work and so on,and obviously improve the quality of life of patients.3.It is suggested that Wenjing Huoxue decoction,which is based on the principle of treatment of warming meridians to disperse pathogenic cold and activating blood flow and removing blood stasis,has objective curative effect.4.Wenjing Huoxue decoction is safe,convenient and effective,and has certain clinical and popularization value. |
