| Purpose:To observe the effect of thumbtack needle therapy on accomodation function of myopia patients with Qi-insuficiency constitution,and to explore the possible mechanism of thumbtack needle therapy for myopia.Methods:According to the diagnostic criteria for myopia and the TCM constitutional criteria,120 eyes of 60 patients with mild to moderate myopia of Qi-insuficiency constitution,who met the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria were collected from January 2018 to December 2018 in the People's Hospital Affiliated to Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.They were randomly divided into two groups,30 cases in the treatment group(60 eyes)and 30 cases in the control group(60 eyes).The treatment group was treated with thumbtack needle therapy combined with wearing frame glasses,while the control group was treated with wearing frame glasses only.In the treatment group,ear acupoints,eye 1,eye 2,liver,kidney,spleen and Zusanli were taken for thumbtack needle therapy.Each needle was retained for 3 days.In the process of retaining needle,four groups of acupoints were stimulated daily.Each group was given 20 times a week,with two sides alternating for 4 weeks.The changes of naked eye vision,diopter and accommodation parameters(including accommodation amplitude,accommodation sensitivity,positive relative accommodation,negative relative accommodation and accommodation response)were observed before and after treatment in both groups,and the difference of curative effect between the two groups was compared.SPSS20.0 software was used to analyze the data before and after treatment.Results:A total of 58 cases(116 eyes)were followed up,28 cases(56 eyes)in the treatment group and 30 cases(60 eyes)in the control group.The results are as follows:1.There was no significant difference in gender and age between the two groups before treatment(P > 0.05),which was comparable.There was no significant difference in naked eye vision,diopter,accommodation range,accommodation sensitivity,positive relative accommodation,negative relative accommodation and accommodation response between the two groups before treatment(P > 0.05).2.After treatment,the naked eye vision(4.51±0.23)D of the treatment group was higher than that before treatment(4.43±0.27)D,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).3.After treatment,the monocular accommodation sensitivity(11.49±4.55)cpm/min of the treatment group was higher than that before treatment(10.76±4.17)cpm/min,the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05);the binocular accommodation sensitivity(8.73±3.72)cpm/min was higher than that before treatment(7.77±3.41)cpm/min,the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).4.After treatment,the negative relative regulation(+2.12±0.27)D in the treatment group increased compared with that before treatment(+2.00±0.33)D,the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).5.After treatment,the regulatory response(+0.50±0.30)D of the treatment group was improved compared with that before treatment(+0.76±0.38)D,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).6.There was no significant difference in diopter,magnitude of accommodation and positive relative accommodation between the two groups before and after treatment(P > 0.05);there was no significant difference in naked eye vision,diopter and accommodation parameters between the two groups after treatment(P > 0.05).Conclusion:1?The thumbtack needle therapy can improve the accommodation sensitivity of myopia patients with Qi-insuficiency constitution,enhance the negative relative accommodation and improve the lag state of accommodation.Short-term observation has no obvious effect on the accommodation amplitude and positive relative accommodation.2?The thumbtack needle therapy can improve the naked eye vision and visual function of myopia patients with Qi-insuficiency constitution. |
