Objective: To observe and compare the effect of warming acupuncture and moxibustion at knot points on pain improvement in patients with knee osteoarthritis of blood stasis block type compared with conventional point warming acupuncture and moxibustion treatment, and to provide some help for its clinical treatment. Methods: 60 patients who met the inclusion criteria were divided into treatment group and control group by random number table,30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine acupoint warming acupuncture and moxibustion, while the treatment group was treated with Warming Acupuncture and moxibustion at knotted points. The VAS score,JOA score and Q angle of knee osteoarthritis were collected before treatment and 3 weeks after treatment to evaluate the efficacy.Statistical software was used to analyze the data and compare the differences between the two treatment methods.Result:1.A total of 59 cases were completed in this study,of which 1 case was excluded in the treatment group. There was no significant difference in gender, age, course of disease,VAS score,JOA score and Q angle before treatment between the two groups(P > 0.05).2.After treatment, the VAS pain score of the two groups was compared within the group, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.01);after treatment, the VAS pain score of the treatment group was lower than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).It shows that both groups can significantly relieve knee pain, and the treatment of warm needling at the knot point is more effective in improving the pain of patients.3.After treatment, the JOA scores of knee joints of the two groups were compared within the group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);after treatment, the JOA scores of the treatment group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05);the flexion angle, rigidity, high spasm, swelling and total JOA scores of knee joints of the two groups were compared, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistical significance(P > 0.05).It shows that both groups can effectively alleviate the symptoms of walking, upstream and downstairs pain, unfavorable flexion activities, joint swelling, and so on.Warm needling at knot points is superior to warm needling at acupoints in alleviating the pain of walking and upstream and downstairs, but it has no superiority in improving the adverse flexion activities, joint swelling and overall effect of patients compared with warm needling at acupoints.4.Before treatment, the number of Q angles of affected knee was larger than that of healthy knee(P < 0.05);after treatment, the number of Q angles of affected knee had no significant difference(P > 0.05).It shows that the number of Q angles of the affected knee increases, and after 3 weeks of treatment, the Q angles of the affected knee can not be corrected effectively. Conclusion: Warm needling and moxibustion at knot points can effectively relieve knee pain and improve clinical symptoms. Therefore, warming needling and moxibustion at the knot point is an effective method to relieve the pain of knee osteoarthritis of blood stasis block type, which is worthy of further study and application in clinic.
