Regional Differences In Equalization Of Basic Public Health Services In Laos

Raising the level of equalization of basic public health services has a bearing on the health and social equity and justice of a country.As a relatively backward country in terms of economic development,Laos still has many gaps in terms of the equalization of basic public health services and other countries with higher levels of economic development.In order to raise the level of equalization of basic medical and public services in Laos,the issue of regional differences in the equalization of public services in basic medical and health services in Laos was studied.The methods used in this study include literature research,empirical analysis,and a combination of quantitative and qualitative comprehensive analysis.The theoretical foundation for this study is based on public product theory,public finance theory,welfare economic theory,and related basic research theories of basic public health services.This paper uses the Theil index analysis method and data envelopment analysis method to conduct an empirical study on the regional differences in the equalization of basic public health services in Laos.The research results show that Laos is involved in basic public health expenditures and software and hardware investment.The northern,central and southern regions are quite different.Among them,the central region,as a region with a relatively high level of economic development,has a long-term advantage in the allocation of resources;while the northern and southern regions have a relatively low level of economic development and are in resource allocation.Long-term disadvantage.On the whole,due to the limited level of economic development in Laos,there is a problem of lack of comprehensive efficiency and scale of compensation in the distribution of medical and health resources.According to the empirical analysis results,this paper analyzes the main problems existing in the process of equalization of basic medical and public services in Laos,including the issues of financial investment and the ability to provide capacity.On this basis,this paper proposes the policy recommendations for the equalization of public services in the basic medical and health services in Laos,including improving the supply mechanism for basic medical and public health services between regions;establishing a reasonable financial transfer payment system;and gradually building a unified basic medical and health security system.Strengthen the building of talents in basic medical and health institutions;encourage all kinds of capital to enter the medical and health field.
