Objectives In recent years,the number of new HIV infections and AIDS-related deaths is declining,but the overall number of people who living with HIV/AIDS is increasing.As of December 31,2017,there were 758,610 persons living with HIV/AIDS in China.The epidemic of HIV among sex workers is decreasing in recent years while the epidemic among Men Who have Sex with Men(MSM)is increasing rapidly.Young students are sex active,the epidemic of HIV/AIDS among young students has been increasing rapidly,especially in men who have sex with men.The existing literatures study the situation of sexual features of comon MSM,the the situation of sexual features of people living with HIV/AIDS(PLWH)in college students were still largely unknown.In this study,we take college students in Nanjing for research objects.Sexual orientation,sexual features,demographic characteristics was collected,then to have a comparison with comon MSM.We investigate the influencing factors of HIV prevention behavior by structural equation model(SEM),aiming to provide a scientific basis of taking effective prevention and control measures against HIV-1 transmission.Methods 1.A total of 2332 college male students were selected,demographic characteristics,growth experience and self-identified sexual orientation were collected by questionnaires.Single factor analysis and Multivariate logistic regression analyses were used to analyze the influence factors sexual orientation.2.152 college male students and 306 non-students were recruited at the first follow-up after HIV-1 diagnosis in Nanjing.The information of demographic characteristics,sexual behavior,awareness of HIV prevention,sex education and AIDS-related knowledge were obtained by questionnaires.Then compare the two groups' sexual features and investigate the influencing factors of HIV prevention behavior by structural equation model.Results 1.The single factor analysis showed that parents' relationship,marital status of parents,whether only child or not,same-sex environment,negative life events(sexual harassment,sexual abuse and sexual abuse)are important factors that affect the formation of sexual orientation.Multivariate logistic regression analyses showed that parents' relationship and sexual abuse are the influence factors of non-heterosexual orientation.2.The overall awareness rate of 'Eight Items of HIV/AIDS Knowledge' was 84.9%.Average age of college MSM students' first sex was 19.0±2.0,and the age at diagnosis was 22.32.4.College MSM students lack the awareness of HIV prevention commonly,the awareness rates of the infected status towards male regular sexual partners,male casual sexual partners,female regular sexual partners and female casual sexual partners were is less than 20%.While having sex with those sexual partners,the proportions of college MSM students having the awareness that they may be infected with diseases were low.3.The results of structural equation model showed that the standardized effects of AIDS-related knowledge,awareness of HIV prevention and venereal disease and its related symptoms on HIV prevention behavior were 0.372,0.419 and 0.162.Conclusion 1.Parents' relationship and sexual abuse are important factors that affect the formation of sexual orientation.Family and schools should seek to creat a better environment for childs.Psychological counselling should be provided after negative life events.2.The age of first sex and the age at diagnosis of college MSM students were small.The overall awareness rate of 'Eight Items of HIV/AIDS Knowledge' was 84.9%.To making the college MSM students understanding the situation of HIV/AIDS epidemic,increasing AIDS knowledge rate,enhancing the awareness of AIDS prevention and increasing condom usage,the early sexual health education and education of HIV prevention should be stengthen with more thorough publicity.
