Objective To evaluate the reliability and validity of the questionnaire for college students on knowledge-attitude-practice about hepatitis B, and put it into application. So as to provide the scientific basis for the departments on health education of hepatitis B.Methods Through consulting references, the item pool was established. Four methods (D index, t-test, correlate analysis, and factor analysis) were used in items election based on the datas investigated. The normal questionnaire consisted of the remaining items. The reliability of the questionnaire was assessed by re-test reliability and homogeneity reliability(Cronbach's a). The validity was assessed by content validity, discriminate validity, and construct validity through Exploratory Fctor Analysis (EFA). Confirmatory Factor Analysis(CFA) was used to testify the construct validity through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM).Objective sampling was used to invest 1378 students from Guangzhou City and Yibin City. Chi-square test and t-test were used in analyzing the scores of students. Pearson's correlation was used in analyzing the relation of K, A, P.Results The questionnaire included 30 items. Knowledge domain:10 items; Aattitude domain:11 items; Practice domain:8 items and the Source of Knowledge:1 item. Its re-test coefficient was 0.964, and Cronbach's a coefficient was 0.811.3 commen factors were taken by Exploratory Fctor Analysis (EFA) and the cumulative variance was 55.67%. The results of the Structural Equation Modeling modified were:x2/df=3.184,RMR=0.065, GFI=0.912,AGFI=0.904,NFI=0.900,CFI=0.908,RMSEA=0.052.The students'KAP about hepatitis B were different in locations (P<0.05). The scores of K and A, A and P, K and P had positive correlations (P<0.05).Conclusion The reliability and validity had fit the requirement. The Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) of the hepatitis B's KAP could meet the standard. Undertaking health education on hepatitis B would be imperative because the students had grasped the knowledge on hepatitis B to some degree, but not systematic and overall.
