Objective: To investigate the current level of clinical nurses' evidence-based nursing comprehensive competency of 3-A grade hospitals in Shenyang,identify the evidence-based nursing(EBN)weak links and influencing factors of comprehensive competency,provide theoretical basis for medical institutions to have targeted evidence-based nursing(EBN)training of nurses,to develop continuing education activities or to explore feasible and effective intervention measures.Methods: In this descriptive study,a questionnaire survey was conducted among 800 clinical nurses from 4 of the 3-A grade hospitals in Shenyang by using multi-stage sampling.Research tools included self-designed general data questionnaire and the nurses' competency in EBN practice and implement scale,Chinese version of evidence-based practice obstacle factors scale.SPSS 22.0 was applied for data analysis,and descriptive statistical analysis was conducted on general data of clinical nurses by frequency and composition comparison.Mean and standard deviation were used to describe the comprehensive ability of evidence-based nursing and the obstacles to evidence-based practice of clinical nurses.Univariate analysis(t-test,univariate analysis of variance)and multivariate analysis(multiple linear regression)were used to analyze the influencing factors of clinical nurses' evidence-based nursing comprehensive competency.Results: 1.The score of clinical nurses' evidence-based nursing comprehensive competency in Shenyang : the total score was(70.86±14.59).Scores of each dimension: the dimension of evidence-based nursing knowledge was(14.26±5.30);The dimension of evidence-based nursing skills was(9.20±2.84);The dimension of evidence-based nursing attitude was(20.87±3.96);The dimension of evidence-based nursing behavior was(14.53±4.80);The dimension of evidence-based nursing implementation belief was(11.99±2.97).2.The single factor analysis showed:the first degree,position,whether through any English level test,have published papers or research experience,the training of EBN knowledge,the guidance of EBN teams or EBN experts on clinical practice,the enthusiasm of nursing profession,communication ability of clinical nurses the effect of evidence-based nursing comprehensive competency of statistical significance(P<0.05).3.The results of multivariate analysis showed that the factors such as position,the training of EBN knowledge,the guidance of EBN teams or EBN experts on clinical practice,the enthusiasm of nursing profession,communication ability and obstacles to evidence-based nursing practice entered the regression equation(P<0.05).Conclusion: 1.The evidence-based nursing comprehensive competency of clinical nurses in Shenyang is at the moderate level,and their knowledge,skills and behavior of evidence-based nursing need to be further improved.In addition,clinical nurses hold a firm belief and positive attitude towards evidence-based nursing.It can be seen that clinical nurses have the possibility to improve the evidence-based nursing comprehensive competency.2.The influencing factors of clinical nurses' evidence-based nursing comprehensive competency were position,the training of EBN knowledge,the guidance of EBN teams or EBN experts on clinical practice,the enthusiasm of nursing profession,communication ability and obstacles of evidence-based nursing practice.It is suggested that nursing managers should take targeted measures to promote the improvement of nurses' comprehensive competency of evidence-based nursing.
