Investigation Of Evidence-Based Nursing Qualities Of Clinical Nurses And Influential Factors In Zhejiang

ObjectiveTo acknowledge and compare clinical nurses’Evidence-Based Nursing (EBN) qualities and influential factors of different-grade nuring and in different levels of hospitals and in Zhejiang province. So that to provide the reliable theory basis for EBN intervention, and improve EBN qualities of clinical nurses effectively and promote the development of EBN.MethodsThe investigator investigate11districts in Zhejiang Province by filling out the questionnaires,which conclude personal information table, the qualities of EBN table and influential factors table. Nurses for this investigation are of different-grade and from different levels of hospitals.ResultsThe investigation suggests that67.4%of clinical nurse still did not have the basic qualities of EBN,97.7%of the people held a positive attitude in EBN,83.3%of the people thought they lack of EBN knowledge,53.9%of the people had basic EBN skills and only32.4%of the people could use EBN behavior to solve nursing problem;EBN qualities of clinical nurses in level3hospital’s in Zhejiang province were lower than the same level hospital’s clinical nurses in Guangdong province; EBN qualities of Level3hospital clinical nurses were higher than Level2hospital’s; The higher professional titles, positions and education degree, the higher clinical nurse’s EBN qualities the have.Nurses of older age and long years of service had higher clinical nurse’s EBN qualities; EBN practice obstacles and nurse evidence-based quality was negatively orrelated.The influential factors of clinical nurses evidence-based practicing is poor quality of nursing research reports and shortage of EBN resources. Of all the influential factors, the highest score factor is insufficient of equipment or resources environment for the development of the nurse scientific research from hospital.ConclusionsThe whole EBN qualities of clinical nurses in Zhejiang needs to be improved. Fortunetly, their attitude was positive. So hospital managers should attach importance to EBN, to provide the organizational guarantee and building good scientific atmosphere; The title, positions, present degree of clinical nurses is higher, their EBN qualities is better. Managers of hospital should establish a backbone group,to take elite training and layered training to strengthen EBN education, so to improve clinical nurses’EBN knowledge and skill; The most important influential factors of clinical nurses evidence-based practicing is shortage of nurse research eqipment and resources. So hospitals should improve the library collection and library database resources and other hardware facilities, to promote the development of evidence-based nursing.
