Ovarian cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors in female genital organs.Epithelial ovarian cancer is the most common malignant tumors. The incidence of ovarian cancer ranks third in female genital system malignant tumors, and the mortality rate ranks first in gynecological tumors. Most of them have reached advanced stage at the time of diagnosis. They have lost the best opportunity of treatment and have poor overall prognosis. Therefore, finding prognostic indicators of epithelial ovarian cancer for improving the survival rate of ovarian cancer has been a difficult problem in the field of gynecology. In this study, the expression of Livin and PTEN genes in epithelial ovarian cancer was detected, and the relationship between Livin and PTEN genes and clinicopathological parameters and prognosis of epithelial ovarian cancer were discussed. Objective:We hope to provide a theoretical basis for the occurrence, development and prognosis of epithelial ovarian cancer,we detected the expression of Livin and PTEN genes in epithelial ovarian cancer tissues, studied their correlation with clinicopathological factors and analyzed their prognosis.Materials and Methods:A total of 50 patients with epithelial ovarian cancer and 20 patients with normal ovarian tissue excision due to benign diseases were collected from Mianyang Central Hospital from 2010 to 2017.The expression of Livin protein and PTEN protein in ovarian cancer tissue was detected by immunohistochemical method. The relationship between the expression of Livin protein and PTEN protein and the clinicopathological characteristics of ovarian cancer was analyzed by chi-square test. The relationship between Livin protein and PTEN protein.Kaplan-Meier was used to analyze the clinicopathological parameters and the effects of Livin and PTEN on the survival of patients with epithelial ovarian cancer after operation.Cox proportional regression model was used to analyze the risk factors affecting the prognosis of patients with epithelial ovarian cancer.Results:1)Expression of Livin and PTEN in epithelial ovarian cancer and normal tissues1-1)In 50 cases of epithelial ovarian cancer, the expression of Livin was 40,the positive rate was 80%,in 20 cases of normal tissues, the expression of Livin was 1,the positive rate was 5%.1-2)The positive rate of PTEN was 26% in 13 of 50 cases of epithelial ovarian cancer and 90% in 18 of 20 cases of normal tissues.2)The relationship between Livin and PTEN in clinicopathological parameters of epithelial ovarian cancer2-1)The expression of Livin was correlated with histological differentiation of epithelial ovarian cancer(P< 0.05),but not with age, pathological stage, pathological type and abdominal aorta/pelvic lymph node metastasis(P> 0.05).2-2)The expression of PTEN was correlated with the pathological stage of epithelial ovarian cancer(P< 0.05),but not with age, histological differentiation, pathological type and abdominal aorta/pelvic lymph node metastasis(P> 0.05).3)The expression of Livin and PTEN in epithelial ovarian cancer was negatively correlated by Chi-square test(P< 0.05).4)Kaplan-Meier was used to analyze the clinicopathological parameters and the effects of Livin and PTEN on the survival of patients with epithelial ovarian cancer after operation. The results showed that the expression of Livin, pathological stage of operation, abdominal aorta/pelvic lymph node metastasis and histological differentiation were significantly correlated with the overall survival of patients with epithelial ovarian cancer(all P< 0.05).The expression of Livin,PTEN,pathological stage of operation, abdominal aorta/pelvic lymph node metastasis and histological differentiation were significantly correlated with disease-free survival(all P< 0.05).Other factors had no significant effect on the survival status of patients with epithelial ovarian cancer(P> 0.05).5)Multivariate analysis of the prognosis of patients with epithelial ovarian cancer included Livin expression,PTEN expression and pathological stage, age, histological differentiation, and the presence or absence of para-aortic/pelvic lymph node metastasis in Cox proportional risk regression model. The results showed that livin,PTEN,histological differentiation, and presence or absence of para-aortic/pelvic lymph node metastasis affected the overall survival period.Livin,PTEN,histological differentiation and the presence or absence of para-aortic/pelvic lymph node metastasis were independent factors affecting disease-free survival. Conclusion:Livin has a high positive rate in epithelial ovarian cancer and a low positive rate in normal ovarian tissues.PTEN has a low positive rate in epithelial ovarian cancer and a high positive rate in normal ovarian tissues. There is a negative correlation between Livin and PTEN expression in epithelial ovarian cancer. The expression of Livin and PTEN,histological differentiation, surgical pathological stage and abdominal aorta/pelvic lymph node metastasis are related to the prognosis of epithelial ovarian cancer.Combined detection of Livin and PTEN genes may be helpful to screen high-risk ovarian cancer population, judge the malignant degree of ovarian cancer and evaluate the prognosis of epithelial ovarian cancer.
