Objective To explore the relationship of livin protein and caspase-3 protein in epithelial ovatian Neoplasms and their correlation. Methods livin protein and caspase-3 protein were detected by immuunohistochemical SP technique in 100 cases of epithelial ovarian neoplasms respectively. Resultsâ‘ There was a significant difference of livin protein and caspase-3 protein in expression between in benign tumor in borderline tumor and in epithelial ovarian cancer(P<0.05).â‘¡The positive detection of livin protein among the tissue type was not significantly different(P>0.05).There was significant difference among the Grades and Clincle Stages(P<0.05).There were no significant differences of caspase-3 protein in ovarian cancer among all tissue types various differentiation groups and Clinical Stages(P>0.05).â‘¢Statistical analysis is showed that the expression of livin protein negatively correlated with caspase-3 protein in epithelial ovarian neoplasms.Conclusionâ‘ Livin might play roles in the process of carcinogenesis of epithelial ovarian cancers and may be a protein tumor marker of ovarian canceer.â‘¡Caspase-3 may play an important role in the carcinogenesis of epithelial ovarian cancers.â‘¢Livin probably inhibit caspase-3 activation directly or indirectly to protect cells apoptosis from occurring resulting in the occurring and prossion of ovarian cancer.
