Correlation Between Psychological Distress And Quality Of Life In Prostate Cancer Survivors

Objective1.To evaluate the degree of psychological distress of patients with prostate cancer and investigate the status quo of quality of life of patients with prostate cancer.2.To analyze the influencing factors of psychological distress in patients with prostate cancer,and to explore the correlation between psychological distress and quality of life,so as to provide theoretical basis and guidance for clinical medical staff to provide individualized care for patients with prostate cancer.MethodIn this study,a cross-sectional survey was conducted to select 106 cases of prostate cancer patients who received comprehensive treatment for prostate cancer in our hospital from January 2016 to October 2018 and later returned to our hospital.Through the general data questionnaire,psychological distress thermometer and problem list,the functional assessment of cancer therapy-prostate questionnaire survey was conducted on patients quality of life scale.Prostate cancer patients were divided into significant psychological distress group and non-significant psychological distress group using psychological distress thermometer screening,and the chi-square test was used to analyze the relationship between demographic characteristics,disease information and each factor in the problem list and significant psychological distress.Multivariate Logistic regression analysis of risk factors for significant psychological distress.Spearman rank correlation was used to analyze the correlation between psychological distress and all areas of the quality of life scale,and rank sum test was used to analyze the impact of significant psychological distress on all areas of the quality of life.The difference was statistically significant with P <0.05.Results1.106 cases of prostate cancer were screened by DT,and the results showed that psychological distress was at mild to moderate level,and the mean score of psychological distress thermometer was(3.36± 0.84)points,among which 44 cases of patients with significant psychological distress were detected,and the positive detection rate of psychological distress was 41.5%.2.Multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed to analyze the influencing factors of cardiovascular disease history(P=0.008),informed status(P<0.001),metastasis status(P=0.023)and survival period(P=0.007)for the occurrence of significant psychological distress in patients with prostate cancer.3.Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that depression(P=0.041),loneliness(P=0.035),fatigue(P=0.015)and sex(P=0.009)were the influencing factors of significant psychological distress in prostate cancer patients in the problem list.4.Significant psychological distress in patients with prostate cancer was significantly correlated with QOL,which was negatively correlated with physical status,social/family status,emotional status,life status,overall status of FACT-G and specific modules of PCS in the FACT-P QOL scale.Conclusion1.The mean score of psychological distress thermometer of prostate cancer survivors was(3.36±0.84),and the results showed that psychological distress was at mild to moderate level,which 44 patients with significant psychological distress were detected,and the positive detection rate of psychological distress was 41.5%.2.The factors that can cause significant psychological distress in patients with prostate cancer include: cardiovascular disease history,informed status,metastasis status and survival period.The patients with cardiovascular disease,fully or partially informed,distant metastasis and diagnosis time less than 1 year are at greater risk of significant psychological distress.These factors are independent risk factors.3.The risk factors for significant psychological distress in the list of problems were depression,loneliness,fatigue and sex.4.Significant psychological distress in patients with prostate cancer is closely related to various areas of quality of life.There was a negative correlation with the physical status,social/family status,emotional status,life status,overall status of FACT-G and specific modules of PCS in the quality-of-life scale of FACT-P.
