Objective: The treatment of upper airway cough syndrome(UACS)in patients with wind-cold stay in the lung type by observing the combination of hankening jiawei combined and nasal irrigation, and objectively evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of the program. To provide UACS with effective internal and external treatment and simple treatment. Methods: From July 2017 to January 2019,patients attending the outpatient and inpatient departments of the affiliated hospitals of Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine of department of respiration, the outpatient divided into combined treatment group, traditional Chinese medicine group and control group with 30 cases each. The combined treatment group used Hankening Jiawei combined with nasal irrigation, the traditional Chinese medicine group used Hankening Jiawei, and the control group used roxithromycin capsules and loratadine tablets. The course of treatment in the three groups was 2 weeks.By observing and comparing the changes of TCM syndromes points and LCQ scores before and after the treatment of three groups of combined treatment group, traditional Chinese medicine group, and control group, the data were recorded and analyzed.Based on the results, the difference of curative effect betweenthree groups was evaluated.Result:1.Comparison of the total clinical efficacy of three groups of patients:Total effective rate of 93.3% in the combined treatment group,83.3% in the traditional Chinese medicine group, and 80.0% in the control group. The total effective rate of the combined treatment group was compared with that of the traditional Chinese medicine group and the control group, and the difference is significant(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference between the traditional Chinese medicine group and the control group(P>0.05).2.Comparison of the total score of TCM syndromes: There was no significant difference between the three groups before treatment(P> 0.05),which was comparable. The total score of the three groups decreased after treatment, and there was significant difference compared with the total score before treatment(P<0.05).The total score in the combined treatment group was significantly lower than that in the traditional Chinese medicine group and the control group(P<0.05),and that in the traditional Chinese medicine group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).3.Comparison of TCM symptoms: Three groups of patients before the treatment of TCM symptoms were compared, there was no statistical significance(P>0.05),and it was comparable. The symptoms of the three groups were improved after treatment, and there was significant difference compared with that before treatment(P<0.05).In the aspect of cough and expectoration, the combined treatment group improved significantly compared with the traditional Chinese medicine group and the control group(P<0.05),and the traditional Chinese medicine group significantly improved compared with the control group(P<0.05).In the aspect of post-nasal leakage, the combined treatment group improvedsignificantly compared with the traditional Chinese medicine group and the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference between the traditional Chinese medicine group and the control group(P>0.05).In the aspect of pharyngeal itching and/or foreign body sensatio, there was no significant difference between the combined treatment group and the traditional Chinese medicine group(P>0.05),and the combined treatment group and the traditional Chinese medicine group were improved compared with control group(P<0.05).In the aspect of nasal congestion and/or runny nose, the combined treatment group improved significantly compared with the traditional Chinese medicine group and the control group(P<0.05),and the traditional Chinese medicine group significantly improved compared with the control group(P<0.05).In the aspect of clearing throat, there was no significant difference between the three groups.4.Comparison of LCQ scores: The total score of LCQ tables before treatment in three groups of patients was not statistically significant(P>0.05)and was comparable. After treatment, the total score of LCQ was increased in all three groups, and there was a significant difference(P<0.05).The combined treatment group was superior to the traditional Chinese medicine group and the control group(P<0.05)in improving the quality of life of the patients, and there were significant differences between the traditional Chinese medicine group and the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion: The combined treatment group Hankening Jiawei combined with nasal irrigation treatment of upper airway cough syndrome(wind-cold stay in the lung type)compared with the traditional Chinese medicine group and control group has a significant effect, can effectively improve clinical symptoms and improve the quality of life. There was no significant difference in the total curative effect between the traditional Chinese medicine group and the control group, but thetraditional Chinese medicine group was superior in improving clinical symptoms and quality of life.In the course of treatment,no adverse reactions occurred, the effect was accurate, and it was worth promoting and applying.
