ObjectiveIn order to investigate the risk factors of pulmonary infection in acute cerebral infarction patients.MethodsA total of 417 patients with acute cerebral infarction were treated and related factors of possible pulmonary infection were summarized to compare the differences in clinical data between the pulmonary infection group and the non-pulmonary infection group. The multiple logistic regression analysis was performed for related factors.ResultsThe pulmonary infection after acute cerebral infarction was closely related to age, gender, length of hospital stay, smoking, the history of previous lung disease, coronary heart disease, hyperlipidemia, dysphagia, consciousness disorders on admission, complete bed rest, invasive operation,NIHSS score on admission and MRS score on admission, and the difference had statistical sense(P<0.05).The result of logistic regression analysis demonstrated that NIHSS score on admission(OR=5.410,95%CI=1.835~15.953,P=0.002),age(OR=2.714,95%CI=1.257~5.587,P=0.011),invasive operation(OR=2.714,95%CI=1.257~5.587,P=0.011),and complete bed rest(OR=3.013,95%CI=1.365~6.651,P=0.006)were risk factors for pulmonary infection in patients with acute cerebral infarction.ConclusionsThe NIHSS score on admission, age, invasive operation and complete bed rest were risk factors for pulmonary infection in patients with acute cerebral infarction and they might be used as reference for the prevention and treatment of pulmonary infection after acute cerebral infarction.
