Clinical Observation On Warming Needling Dazhong Point For Treatment Of Dementia Due To Deficiency Of Kidney Essence

Objective:To observe the clinical curative effect of the treatment of needle warming moxibustion on Point Da Zhong(KI.4)combined with traditional acupuncture on dementia of type of kidney-deficiency and provide a convenient and effective treatment for dementia.Methods:The 60 cases of dementia of type of kidney-deficiency who met the inclusion criteria were divided into the treatment group and the control group randomly,with 30 cases in each group.Patients in the treatment group were given needle warming moxibustion on Point Da Zhong(KI.4)combined with traditional acupuncture for six days a week,one day of rest;Patients in the control group were given traditional acupuncture for six days a week,one day of rest.The therapeutic course is four weeks.The clinical curative effect was observed before and after treatment in patients with assessment scales,including Mini Mental State(MMSE),Activities of Daily Living(ADL),Syndrome Differentiation Scale for Dementia(SDSD).Results:1.The treatment group can develop the scores of MMSE assessment scales and and decrease the scores of ADL assessment scales of AD patients significantly,and the change of data had significant difference compared with the control group(P <0.05).2.The treatment group can develop the scores of Syndrome Differentiation Scale for Dementia(SDSD)assessment scales significantly,and the development was better than the control group(P <0.05).3.The total effective rate of the treatment group was 83.33%.The total effective rate of the control group was 53.33%.The total effective rates of the two groups had significant difference(P <0.05).Conclusions :1.Needle warming moxibustion on point Da Zhong(KI.4)combinedwith traditional acupuncture treatment of dementia of type of kidneydeficiency has clinical curative effect.2.Needle warming moxibustion on point Da Zhong(KI.4)combined with traditional acupuncture treatment can improve the ability of cognizance and the ability of daily living of patients with dementia of type of kidney-deficiency,better than traditional acupuncture treatment.3.Needle warming moxibustion on point Da Zhong(KI.4)combined with traditional acupuncture treatment can improve TCM syndrome of patients with dementia of type of kidney-deficiency,better than traditional acupuncture treatment.
