Objective: To evaluate the clinical therapeutic effects of warming needle moxibustiontreating the chronic renal failure patients with deficiency of Qi in spleen and kidney inearly and mid phase. Methods: Patients were selected according to inclusion criteria and divided intotreatment group and control group by randomized number table method, each grouphas30patients. Patients of the treatment group were treated by basic treatment andwarming needle moxibustion, while patients from the control group were treated bybasic treatment. A statistical analysis was made after two courses of treatment.Results:1) Conditions of chronic renal failure patients from treatment group and control groupwere improved after2months treatment, the total effective rate of treatment groupwas86.70%, while the control group was63.30%. The curative effect of treatmentgroup was significant than that of the control group (P<0.05).2) Comparing the symptoms of Chinese Medicine of the patients after the treatment, the total effective rate of treatment group was90.00%, while the control group was66.67%. The curative effect of treatment group was significant than that of the controlgroup (P<0.05).3) The laboratory index of treatment group has remarkable difference in blood urea nitrogen, serum creatinine and uric acid after the treatment (P<0.05), while uric acidof control group was not improved obviously after the treatment. Blood urea nitrogenand serum creatinine of the patients of two groups have improved significant after thetreatment, while uric acid has not improved obviously (P>0.05).Conclusion: The research shows that the treatment group and control group canimprove the patients’ renal function, clinical symptoms and sign that suffer from earlyand mid chronic renal failure with deficiency of spleen, kidney and energy. Comparedthe ways of the two groups adopted, treatment group is significant than control groupin improving renal function (blood urea nitrogen and serum creatinine), clinicalsymptoms and sign, which indicate that the combination of basic treatment andwarming needle moxibustion is better than the pure basic treatment in treating chronicrenal failure.
