Objective:To observe the effect of scalp acupuncture combined with "antagonistic acupuncture" on the treatment of upper limb spasticity after stroke and the effect on the score of electromyography, serum glycine(Gly)and gamma aminobutyric acid(GABA)Method:60 patients with upper limb spasticity after stroke were randomly divided into two groups, the treatment group and the control group,30 cases in each group. The two groups were given basic treatment. The control group was treated with scalp acupuncture,1 times a day,2h for 6 weeks. The treatment group was given "antagonistic electroacupuncture" on the basis of the control group,1 times a day,30min for 6 weeks. Before and after the treatment, the improved Ashworth scale(modified Ashworth scale,MAS)and the simple Fugl-meyer scale(Fugl-Meyer assessment,FMA)were observed respectively The electromyographic score of the biceps brachii muscle in the two groups of patients(integrated electromyogram,IEMG)was measured, and the serum levels of the Gly and GABA in two groups were detectedResults:The total effective rate in the treatment group was 90%,which was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the MAS scores in the two groups were all lower than before the treatment and the FMA scores were all higher than before the treatment(P<0.05),and the treatment group was superior to the control group(P<0.05).The IEMG of the biceps brachii muscle in the two groups of patients after the treatment were all compared with the treatment group. The treatment group was lower(P<0.05)and the treatment group was superior to the control group(P<0.05).The levels of serum Gly and GABA in the two groups were higher than those before the treatment(P<0.05),and the treatment group was better than the control group(P<0.05)Conclusion:1.The scalp acupuncture combined with "antagonistic electroacupuncture" can significantly improve the MAS,FMA score and IEMG of the affected side of the upper extremity paralysis after stroke, and the curative effect is better than that of scalp acupuncture alone;2.The scalp acupuncture combined with "antagonistic electroacupuncture" can regulate the serum Gly and GABA levels of upper limb paralysis patients after stroke.
