A Randomized Controlled Clinical Trial Of Professor Peng DeZhong Shoulder-Lift Wrenching Manipulation On The Treatment Of Rotator Cuff Injury

Objective: Patients with rotator cuff injury are recruited as the study carrier in this trial.Professor Peng DeZhong Shoulder-Lift wrenching manipulation combined with Shoulder Tri-needles therapy are used to treat rotator cuff injury patients and discuss the clinical effect,which compared with Ultrasound therapy combined with Shoulder Tri-needles therapy to conduct a randomized controlled trial.And we hope to have a system,objective and scientific evaluation,providing a new method for the treatment of rotator cuff injury.Methods: A total of 65 patients with rotator cuff injury are included in this trial.They are numbered according to the sequence of enrollment,and are randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group.32 patients in the experimental group accept Professor Peng DeZhong shoulder-lift wrenching manipulation combined with shoulder tri-needles therapy,while 33 patients in the control group accept Ultrasound therapy combined with shoulder tri-needles therapy.Patients need treatment for 3 times per week,6 times as a course of treatment,and there are total 2 treatment courses.The time of acupuncture is 30 minutes each time,and the time of Tuina or Ultrasound is 20 minutes each time.The outcome are measured based on visual analogue scale(VAS),American shoulder and elbow surgeons evaluation(ASES),and modified Constant-Murley scale(CMS).Each group is assessed at baseline,at the end of the 2nd week,and at the end of the 4th week after treatment.Results: 1.Baseline data comparison of the two groups: there is no significant difference in the baseline comparison of general conditions such as gender,age,course of disease,breathing,heart rate and BMI between the two groups(P > 0.05).And there is no significant difference between the baseline VAS score,ASES score and CMS score(P > 0.05).Equilibrium between the two groups,the two groups can be compared.2.(1)Inter-group comparison: After the end of treatment,the two groups are compared in clinical efficacy.The experimental group finally completes 30 cases,which 7 are cured,17 are significantly effective,4 are effective,and 2 are ineffective.The total effective rate in the experimental group is 93.3%.The control group finally completes 30 cases,which 4 are cured,9 are significantly effective,13 are effective,and 4 are ineffective.The total effective rate in the control group is 86.7%.The efficacy of the experimental group is more significant than that of the control group(P=0.014(P<0.05)).After the end of the first course of treatment(after 2 weeks),there is no statistically significant difference between the two groups in VAS score,ASES score and CMS score(P > 0.05).After the end of the second course of treatment(after 4 weeks),there are statistically significant differences between the two groups in VAS score,ASES score and CMS score(P<0.05),and the VAS score of the experimental group is significantly lower than that of the control group,while the ASES score and CMS score are significantly higher than that of the control group.(2)Intra-group comparison: after the end of the first course of treatment(after 2 weeks)and the second course of treatment(after 4 weeks),VAS scores in both groups are lower than the baseline period,ASES scores and CMS scores are higher than the baseline period,and the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion: 1.Both of the Professor Peng DeZhong shoulder-lift wrenching manipulation and Ultrasound therapy can treat rotator cuff injury,relieve shoulder pain and improve shoulder joint function activity.2.For the treatment of rotator cuff injury,Professor Peng DeZhong shoulder-lift wrenching manipulation is significantly more effective than ultrasound therapy.3.This trial confirms that Professor Peng DeZhong shoulder-lift wrenching manipulation can relieve patients' shoulder pain significantly,improve the functional activities of shoulder joints,and has the advantages of obvious efficacy,safe,which worth popularizing and applying in clinical work.
