Objective: To observe the relationship between rotator cuff tear size with shoulder pain and shoulder function before and after surgery.Statistical analysis was performed on rotator cuff tear size to enhance the authenticity and reliability of the results of clinical studies on rotator cuff injury. It was confirmed that the smaller the rotator cuff tear found in clinical observation, the more serious the postoperative shoulder joint pain, but the better the recovery of shoulder joint function. The larger the rotator cuff tear was,the less the postoperative shoulder joint pain was,but the recovery of shoulder joint function was poor. Methods: This study collected and analyzed from June 2017 to June 2018,from Sichuan province orthopedics hospital 120 cases of patients with rotator cuff injury, with an average age of 50,all patients after the shoulder joint is a X-ray and MRI of shoulder joint and combined with a diagnosis of rotator cuff injury symptoms, signs, they have accepted the arthroscopic rotator cuff injury repair, postoperative follow-up at least more than 6 months. The width of the torn rotator cuff in the oblique sagittal position was measured by MRI before and after surgery, and Visual Analogue Score(VAS)and Constant Shoulder Score(Constant)were obtained before and after surgery. Results: The correlation analysis of preoperative rotator cuff tear size and shoulder joint pain score(VAS)showed that there was significant statistical significance between the two,and the rotator cuff tear size was negatively correlated with preoperative pain(VAS).The linear regression equation was Y=10.043-0.157 X.The correlation analysis of postoperative rotator cuff tear size and shoulder joint pain score(VAS)showed that there was significant statistical significance between them, and the relationship between them was negative. The linear regression equation was Y=3.755-0.123 X.The correlation analysis of preoperative rotator cuff tear size and shoulder joint function score(Constant)showed that there was a significant statistical significance between them, and the relationship between them was proportional. The linear regression equation was Y=41.812+0.624 X.The correlation analysis of postoperative rotator cuff tear size and shoulder joint function score(Constant)showed that there was a significant statistical significance between them, and there was a negative ratio between them. The linear regression equation was Y=87.446-0.567 X.Conclusion: The smaller the rotator cuff tear observed in clinical observation, the more severe the postoperative shoulder joint pain, but the better the recovery of shoulder joint function. The larger the rotator cuff tear was,the less the postoperative shoulder joint pain was,but the recovery of shoulder joint function was poor. Therefore,it is necessary to consider the presence of rotator cuff tear size in clinical studies to evaluate the efficacy of rotator cuff injury.
