Objective:To explore the related factors of chronic hydrocephalus complicated by intraventricular hemorrhage in adults. To clarify the risk factors of adult intraventricular hemorrhage complicated with chronic hydrocephalus, and to provide clinical basis for guiding clinical diagnosis and treatment, improving the prognosis and quality of life of patients. Methods:The complete clinical data of 105 adult patients with intraventricular hemorrhage who met the inclusion criteria from June 2015 to June 2018 in the Department of Neurosurgery of the First Hospital of Shanxi Medical University were retrospectively analyzed.Application SPSS22.0 statistical software analysis of adult patients with ventricular hemorrhage in gender, age, history of hypertension, diabetes, the volume of hematoma in brain parenchyma, whether to bone disc decompression, midline shift, after admission GCS score, with and without acute hydrocephalus and cerebral hemorrhage parts and lateral ventricle drainage and lumbar cistern drainage and secondary relation of chronic hydrocephalus.Chi-square test was used for univariate samples and Logistic regression analysis was used for multivariate samples. Results:In this study,105 cases of adult intraventricular hemorrhage occurred, among which51 cases(48.57%)developed chronic hydrocephalus.Single factor statistical analysis itis concluded that gender, age, history of hypertension, the volume of hematoma in brain parenchyma, whether to decompressive craniectomy, midline shift degree, with or without acute hydrocephalus and cerebral hemorrhage parts of intraventricular hemorrhage secondary to chronic hydrocephalus was statistically significant(P< 0.05),and diabetes history,GCS score, external ventricular drainage and lumbar cistern drainage of intraventricular hemorrhage secondary to chronic hydrocephalus had no statistical significance(P> 0.05);Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that the amount of hematoma in the brain parenchyma(OR=3.112,95%CI = 1.146-8.449,P=0.026),acute hydrocephalus(OR=3.268,95%CI = 1.176-9.080,P=0.023)and site of cerebral hemorrhage(OR=4.622,95%CI = 1.016-21.020,P=0.048)were risk factors for secondary chronic hydrocephalus after intraventricular hemorrhage.Conclusion:(1)The proportion of adult patients with intraventricular hemorrhage complicated with chronic hydrocephalus is high.(2)The volume of hematoma in brain parenchyma, acute hydrocephalus and the site of cerebral hemorrhage are the risk factors of chronic hydrocephalus complicated by intraventricular hemorrhage.
