A Study Of Clinical Treatment For Laryngopharynx Vascular Anomalies

Background: Vascular anomalies have two types,namely hemangioma and vascular malformation,which are common and frequent diseases.Vascular anomalies are common in head and neck,affecting appearance and function of human body.Vascular anomalies related to Otolaryngology department,especially located in laryngopharynx,are generally observed late or inadvertently observed.With no immediately treatment,patients may develop many serious complications,such as ventilatory disorder or bleeding.However,the research of treatment for laryngopharynx vascular anomalies is quite rare and there is no specific evaluation system of curative effect.Objective: The purpose of our study is to analyze the clinical feature,therapy and curative effect evaluation of the vascular anomalies.Besides,we hope that this study may provide a reference for future standardized diagnosis and treatment.Methods: We collect vascular anomalies cases between January 2010 and December 2015 of Otolaryngology department in Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital,Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine and analyze age,sex,disease incidence,clinical symptoms,imaging examination,surgical treatment and prognosis of follow-up data.Results: 68 cases of patients with vascular disease received surgery treatment(including Nd: YAG laser,hardener and DSA treatment),male female ratio was 1.19:1.Age of these patients ranged from 2 to 70 years old.With electronic laryngoscope,the rate of patients whose tumor was considerably shrank(> 50%)after operation account for 66%.Preoperative and postoperative MRI scans showed significantly statistical difference(P < 0.05)of anomalies minimum area.The result shows that group A and group B had a good curative effect,With electronic laryngoscope,the rate of patients whose tumor was considerably shrank(> 50%)after operation account for 10%.Preoperative and postoperative MRI scans showed significantly statistical difference(P >0.05)of anomalies minimum area,The result shows that group C didn't have a good curative effect,Conclusion: Laryngopharynx vascular anomalies generally relatively hidden,without clinical symptoms,is not easy to early detection.,Nd: YAG laser,hardener and DSA embolization for the treatment of Laryngopharynx vascular anomalies effect is exact,Electronic laryngoscopy reaction the nidus' size changing can evaluate the treatment effect of patients.This method is more concise and straightforward,and adopt the method of MRI to evaluate the efficacy of the patients were more focused on the improvement of ventilation function in patients with,more relevant actual otolaryngology department.
