Clinical Observation Of Bishu Xuanbi Decoction On Acute Suppurative Sinusitis In Children

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Bishu Xuanbi Decoction on children with acute suppurative sinusitis.Methods:165 children with acute suppurative sinusitis(pneumoconiosis wind-heat type)who met the inclusion criteria were enrolled in the clinical observation.According to the wishes of legal guardians and subjects,123 children were divided into the experimental group and 42 children in the control group.Both groups were treated with cefoperoxime axetil dry suspension as basic treatment,ibuprofen suspension as emergency treatment when fever occurred,Bishu Xuanbi Decoction was given to the experimental group in basic treatment and emergency treatment,and Nasosinusitis Oral Liquid was given to the control group in basic treatment and emergency treatment.After two weeks of continuous treatment,the two groups stopped basic treatment and continued to take Bishu Xuanbi Decoction and Nasosinusitis Oral respectively.The liquid treatment lasted for one week.The main symptoms and signs of nasal runny,nasal obstruction,nasal secretion and nasal mucosal conge stion/turbinate enlargement before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.The disappearance time of single symptoms of nasal mucus,nasal obstruction,fever and nasal secretion after treatment was observed,the clinical efficacy was analyzed,and the adverse reactions during treatment were recorded.Result:1.There were significant differences in the main symptoms and signs quantification scores before and after treatment between the control group and the experimental group(P<0.05);the main symptoms and signs quantification scores before and after treatment were better in the experimental group than in the control group(P<0.05).2.The disappearance time of individual symptoms in the experimental group was earlier than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.The total effective rate of the control group was 60.00-%,and that of the experimental group was 95.83%.The experimental group was significantly better than the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),and there were no obvious adverse reactions in the course of treatment.Conclusion:1.Bishu Xuanbi Decoction can effectively treat children with acute suppurative sinusitis(lung meridian wind-heat type),improve its clinical syndrome score,significantly shorten the course of the disease.2.Bishu Xuanbi Decoction has no obvious adverse reactions in the course of treatment,which is safe and effective.
