Clinical Study Of Yuye Mixture In The Treatment Of Abnormal Glucose Tolerance(Qi-Yin Deficiency Type)

Objective: To observe the efficacy and safety of Yuye Mixture in controlling blood glucose and improving TCM syndromes in patients with impaired glucose tolerance(deficiency of both Qi and Yin).Methods: A parallel randomized,blank control design was used in this study.72 patients were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group(36 cases each).Among them,2 patients dropped out(self-withdrawal due to personal reasons),and 70 cases were actually completed(including 34 cases in the experimental group and 36 cases in the control group).The experimental group was given basic intervention combined with Yuye Mixture orally,three times a day,30 ml once,half an hour before three meals,while the control group was given basic intervention mainly based on diet and exercise.The course of treatment was 8 weeks.Results: The baseline level of the two groups before and after the experiment was comparable.The main therapeutic indexes of the two groups before and after the treatment of 2-hour glucose load were analyzed and compared,P <0.05,the difference was statistically significant,and the experimental group was superior to the control group.The total effective rate of the experimental group was 64.71% and that of the control group was 16.67%,P <0.05,the difference was statistically significant in the curative effect of TCM syndromes between the two groups,and the experimental group was significantly better than the control group;The curative effect of IGT was compared between the two groups,the total effective rate of the experimental group was 94.1% while the control group was 41.7%,P<0.05,the difference was statistically significant.Conclusion: Yuye Mixture can control the blood glucose of IGT patients and improve the TCM syndromes of IGT,and there are no adverse reactions in clinic.
