Objective:1.Develop a breathing meditation training program for fatigue nurses, evaluate the effects of respiratory meditation training programs in improving nurses' sustained attention, fatigue, and anxiety.2.Discuss the correlation between fatigue, anxiety, mindfulness and sustained attention.Method:1.The development of the respiratory meditation training: It takes us six months to develop the meditation training for clinical nurses of fatigue, and anxiety.During this process,we referenced the nursing situation, abundant literature, clinical trials, and we got the guidance of psychotherapist, expert discussion. This meditation training program includes warm-up exercises and breathing meditation.2.The implementation of the respiratory meditation training: The study was conducted at a tertiary hospital in Shijiazhuang,Hebei.Participants were selected from a convenience sample of neurology department 34 nurses with fatigue and right-handed from June to October 2018,according to the inclusion/exclusion criteria. The nurses received breathing meditation training of 5 times a week(every other day 25 minutes)for 6 weeks. The breathing meditation training was delivered by the multi-trained researcher. The continuous attention, fatigue condition, anxiety condition and mindfulness awareness were measured separately using Flanker task, the multidimensional fatigue scale, the anxiety self-rating scale, and the mindfulness awareness scale at baseline, the fourth week, sixth week.Specifically, the study tested whether the meditation contributed to improving the nurses attention, fatigue and anxiety affect. All data were input by Epidata3.1 and analyzed by SPSS21.0 Statistical Software package.Measurement data was tested for normality, and the normal distribution is expressed by x ±s.The normal distribution is not satisfied with the median and quartile range.Repeated measurement of ANOVA was used to test the time effect of the massage, the Greenhouse correction is not satisfied when the spherical symmetry test is not satisfied. The results were analyzed using rank correlation analysis for attention and fatigue, anxiety, mindfulness;P < 0.05 indicates statistically significant differences.RESULTS:Of the 34 nurses who participated our study,32 nurses completed short-term respiratory meditation training and data collection.1.After 6 weeks of intervention in breathing meditation training,on the premise of ensuring accuracy, nurses' attention response in the 8 o'clock and 18 o'clock decreased from(459.05±105.83)ms,(497.43±104.49)ms to(423.79±90.17)ms(454.74±110.62)ms,the nurse's sustained attention level has been improved to a certain extent.2.After 6 weeks of breathing meditation training for nurses, total fatigue score of MFI-20 decreased from(57.38±6.66)to(52.78±5.81),and the physical fatigue score decreased from(27.81±3.02)to(25.78± 3.78),the power decline score decreased from(9.81±1.79)points to(8.50±1.71)points,the mental fatigue score decreased from(10.91±2.02)points to(9.81±1.82)points,and the activity reduction score was in the fourth week of intervention. It fell to(8.50±1.55)points,but the intervention increased to(8.66±1.56)points in the sixth week.In summary, the fatigue of the nurses was significantly improved(P<0.05).3.After 6 weeks of breathing meditation training for nurses, the average score of SAS decreased from(47.91±2.46)to(42.47±2.86);the average score of MAAS score increased from(60.06±6.15)to(64.66±5.42).Anxiety and mindfulness improvement were observed(P<0.05).4.During the training of respiratory meditation, nurses at the baseline, the fourth week, and the sixth week of mindfulness, awareness, anxiety, and fatigue levels were correlated with the level of attention response at 18 o'clock in each stage(P<0.05).5.At 4 months after the intervention, the 18 o'clock sustained attention response was(484.17±111.11)ms with the correct rate of 97.6%,the total score of the multidimensional fatigue scale(54.81 ± 6.91),the anxiety score was(46.56±9.89),the mindfulness awareness score was(62.28±15.96).Conclusion:The respiratory meditation training for nurses is beneficial to improve the sustained attention of nurses with fatigue;both anxiety and mindfulness to nurses. It is worthy to be carried out in large-scale population in nurses with sustained attention, fatigue and anxiety.
