Objectives To investigate the rehabilitation efficiency of meditation program on cognitive dysfunction, anxiety and depression of patients with stroke, and to provide a new technique for clinical rehabilitation nursing. Methods One hundred stroke patients with cognitive dysfunction and mood disorder were recruited from Tangshan Workers' Hospital(October 2015~July 2016)and randomly assigned to meditation(n=50)and control group(n=50).Both group received the same routine therapy of Neurology, rehabilitation therapy and clinical nursing. At the same time,to limb function and cognitive training physical therapy and occupational therapy were carried out.The training were 40 minutes per day,and five days per week. The intervention group adopted meditation training additionally.Meditation music combined with Japan right brain development training.specific training steps:(1)The patients practice meditation training under the guidance of the rehabilitation nurses;(2)Picture the blank mandala card.color;(3)Practice afterimage by the yellow card;(4)imagination training. The treatment were applied for 36 minutes in each time, and 5 times per week.LOTCA,HAMA and HAMD were used to evaluate the patients before training,1 months and 3months.Using Excel to establish the database, and using SPSS18.0 software for statistical analysis. The enumeration data were tested by ?2,the rank data were tested by rank sum test, the normal distribution data were expressed by(?)ąs,and the independent samples t test was performed. The data of the three groups were compared by variance analysis.P<0.05 implies statistically significant. Results 1 The effect of improved meditation training on cognitive function of patients with stroke: There was no significant difference in LOTCA score between the two groups before intervention(P>0.05).After 1 months or 3 months' intervention, the LOTCA score of the intervention group show significantly different than before intervention(P<0.05)Meditation group show significant improvement in Attention and concentration.after 1month's intervention(P<0.05),but other dimensions didn't show statistically significant(P>0.05).After 3 months' intervention, the difference of Orientation,Visual Perception,Praxis,Visuomotor Construction,Thinking Operation,Attention and concentration.and LOTCA score of the patients in the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).2 The effect of meditation training on anxiety and depression of patients with stroke: There was no significant difference in HAMA and HAMD between the two groups before intervention(P>0.05).Ther score of HAMA and HAMD decreased after 1 month and 3 months' intervention.in the intervention group(P<0.05).the difference of HAMA and HAMD score between the two groups was not statistically significant after 1 month's intervention(P>0.05),but the difference of HAMA and HAMD score between the two groups was statistically significant after 3 months' intervention(P<0.05).Conclusions 1 This is the study to support for the benefits of meditation in improving cognitive anxiety and depression function of patients with stroke. And the effect of 3months' meditation training is better than 1 month's.
