Objective: Observe the clinical nursing effect of sticking traditional Chinese medicine patch made of zizyphus jujube kernel, poria cocos, salvia miltiorrhiza at the ratio of 1:1:1 on Yongquan,Sanyinjiao and Danzhong points in treating insomnia after stroke.Method: 80 patients meeting the following requirements were selected as study objects: diagnosed as stroke in western medicine and traditional Chinese medicine;accompanied by clinical manifestations of insomnia after stroke;aged above 40;no insomnia, anxiety, depression or other mental disorders before onset of stroke;Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)greater than 7.They were randomly divided by SPSS 19.0 into the treatment group and the comparative group each with 40 patients treated by acupoint sticking and oral estazolam respectively. Before the study, the general data of all patients were investigated and statistically analyzed, including gender, age, course of disease and clinical observation of insomnia. In the study, both groups received routine treatment of stroke. The treatment group,on the basis of oral estazolam, received acupoint sticking on Yongquan,Sanyinjiao and Danzhong with fine powder of zizyphus jujube kernel, poria cocos, salvia miltiorrhiza in the proportion of 1:1:1,while the comparative group was treated with oral Estazolam only. The statistics was got 3 weeks later after comparing the SAS,PSQI,and clinical effects according to the standard of TCM syndrome.Results:1.Comparison of general dataThere was no significant difference in gender, age, course of disease and the state of illness between the two groups(P>0.05).2.Comparison of PSQIBefore the clinical trial, there was no significant difference in PSQI scores between the two groups(P>0.05);After the clinical trial, the PQSI scores of the treatment group were significantly decreased compared with before(P<0.05);After the clinical trial, the PQSI scores of the comparative group were significantly decreased compared with before(P<0.05);After the clinical trial, there was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of the time of falling asleep, sleep time and sleep efficiency(P>0.05),but the scores of patients in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the comparative group in terms of hypnotic drugs, sleep quality, sleep disorder, and daytime dysfunction(P<0.05).3.Comparison of SASBefore the clinical trial, there was no significant difference in SAS scores between the two groups(P>0.05);After the clinical trial, the SAS scores of the treatment group were significantly decreased compared with before(P<0.05);After the clinical trial, the SAS scores of the comparative group were significantly decreased compared with before(P<0.05);After the clinical trial, there was no significant difference in SAS scores between the two groups(P>0.05).4.Comparison of treatment efficacyAt the end of the clinical trial, the efficacy of insomnia improvement was evaluated for the two groups. The general effective rate of the treatment group was 97.4% while the comparative group 80.6%.There was significant difference in general effective rate between the two groups(P<0.05).5.Safety comparisonSafety evaluation was done for the two groups, and there was no significant difference(P>0.05).Conclusions:1.The acupoint sticking therapy selected in this study has certain effect on improving insomnia.2.The acupoint sticking therapy selected in this study can improve the overall sleep quality of patients by improving their sleep quality, sleep disorders, hypnotic drugs, and daytime dysfunction.
