Objective:To observe and comparison of the effects of retroperitoneal laparoscopic and open radical nephrectomy on liver function and lactic acid.Methods:50 patients with elective radical nephrectomy were divided into open radical nephrectomy group(O group)and retroperitoneal laparoscopic nephrectomy group(R group)according to the need of surgery,25 cases in each group.Peripheral veins were taken 5 ml before surgery 1 day(T1),immediately after surgery(T2),1 day after surgery(T3),and 3 days after surgery(T4).Alanine aminotransferase(ALT)and aspartate aminotransferase(AST),r-glutamyl transpeptidase(GGT),serum albumin(ALB),alkaline phosphatase(ALP),total bilirubin(TBIL),lactic acid(Lac)concentration were tested and recorded. Results:There were no significant differences in ALT,AST,GGT,ALP,TBIL,ALB and Lac concentrations between the two groups at time of T1 and T4(P>0.05).At time of T2,the concentrations of ALT,AST,GGT,ALP,TBIL and Lac were higher than those at T1 in the two groups(P<0.05).At time of T2 and T3,the concentrations of ALT,AST,GGT,ALP and TBIL in group O were significantly higher than those in group R(P<0.05),but theconcentration of Lac in group R was significantly higher than those in group O(P<0.05).Conclusion:Both retroperitoneal laparoscopic and open radical nephrectomy cause elevation of lactic acid and affect liver function, but retroperitoneal laparoscopic radical nephrectomy has less effect than open radical nephrectomy on liver function, whereas lactic acid concentration in open radical nephrectomy is lower than retroperitoneal laparoscopic radical nephrectomy. However, the effects of both surgical methods on lactic acid and liver function are transient.
