Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy of recombinant human interferon ?(IFN ?)in the treatment of postherpetic neuralgia(PHN)with paravertebral nerve block. Methods:A total of 80 patients with PHN who were admitted to the First Hospital of Shanxi Medical University from January 2017 to May 2018 were enrolled. They were divided into experimental group(group A)and control group(group B),40 cases in each group. The patient's basic treatment was the same.In the treatment of paravertebral nerve block: a small dose of IFN ? was added to group A,and IFN ? was not added to group B.The rest of the treatment was the same.Visual analog scales and Pittsburgh sleep quality scores were scored before and after treatment at1,2,and 3 months, and the number of treatments for paravertebral nerve block was recorded..Results:The visual analogue scores and Pittsburgh sleep quality scores of patients in group A were lower than those in group B(P<0.05),and the number of treatments in group A was less than that in group B(P <0.05).The total effective rate of patients in group A was higher than that in group B(P<0.05).Conclusion:IFN ? is effective in the treatment of PHN patients with paravertebral nerve block, which can reduce pain of patients and improve the quality of sleep of patients.
