ObjectiveIn this study,to observe the effects of intradermal block combined with ozone injection in the treatment of aged patients with PHN,conventional treatment(intradermal block)combined with ozone intradermal injection was conducted in elderly patients. The differences in efficacy between conventional treatment and combined treatment were observed.MethodsPatients with PHN who were treated in the hospital(affiliated hospital of Jining Medical College)in 2019 were collected. The subjects were selected strictly according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria.Seventy patients with PHN were included in this study. The subjects were randomly divided into the intradermal nerve block group and the intradermal nerve block combined ozone group. In the intradermal nerve block group,15-25 points were taken from the injection points at intervals of 2cm-2.5cm in the pain area according to the pain range.Patients in intradermal nerve block group received compounded medicine 1 ml(mecobalamin 1 mg +compound betamethasone 1 ml + lidocaine 10 ml+0.9% sodium chloride injection 7 ml)in every skin pain area only.At the basis of the treatment in intradermal nerve block group, patients received 35?g/ml ozone 1 ml in intradermal nerve block combined ozone group. The treatment was given at the 1st,4th and 7th day after hospitalization, and three times as a course. The pain score and emotional score of patients before and after treatment, and one month after treatment were recorded. The differences between the two groups were compared. The content of serum substance P,IL-6,IL-10,IL-17 and TNF-? of patients were detected.ResultsIn this study, seventy patients were included, including 35 cases(15 men)in the intradermal nerve block combined ozone group and 35 cases(15 men)in the intradermal nerve block group. No adverse reactions were found in the two groups during the treatment. The patients of intradermal nerve block group was 69.51 ± 6.38 years old,and the patients ofintradermal nerve block combined ozone group was 70.77 ± 5.93 years old. There was no significant difference in age between the two groups. The hospitalization days of the intradermal nerve block group was 8.86 ± 2.77 days, and the hospitalization days of the intradermal nerve block combined ozone group was 9.17 ± 2.01 days. There was no statistical difference in the hospitalization days in the two groups. On the first day after treatment, the pain score of the intradermal nerve block combined ozone group was significantly lower than the intradermal nerve block group(2.34±0.94 VS1.80±0.99,P < 0.05).One month after the treatment, the pain score of the intradermal nerve block combined ozone group was slightly lower than the intradermal nerve block group. However, there was no significant difference. The emotional score of the intradermal block combined ozone group was lower than the intradermal block group, and the difference was not statistically significant.According to the stratified analysis of whether the patient had diabetes, after 3 months of treatment, there was statistical difference between the pain score of non-diabetic patients and the diabetic patients in the intradermal block combined ozone group.Meanwhile,in the intradermal block combined ozone group, the emotional score of non-diabetic patients was significantly lower than the diabetic patients. There was no difference in the levels of serum IL-6 and IL-10 between the two groups. At first day,1 month and 3 months after treatment, the content of serum substance P and TNF-? of the patients in intradermal block combined ozone group were significantly lower than that of the simple intradermal block group. At 1 month and 3 months after treatment, the content of IL-17 was significantly higher in the intradermal block combined ozone group.ConclusionBoth the two methods can effectively reduce the pain score and emotional score in aged patients with PHN.The efficacy of intradermal block combined with ozone therapy is better than intradermal block therapy only.
