Objective:To analyze the effects of medical price reform on hospitalization expenses in public hospitals and provide basis for deepening the reform.Method:The authors collected data on hospitalization expenses before and after the medical price reform in a municipal public hospital in Wuxi,and compared changes in average expenses.Results:On the whole,the per capita medical fees,inspection fees,inspection fees and consumables have decreased in varying degrees,with the per capita medical fees falling by 24.1%;Per capita care and treatment fees increased significantly,with an increase of 188.3%and 37.6%respectively;Per capita hospitalization fee and per capita self-expenditure decreased slightly,while the proportion of drug expenditure decreased significantly,but still accounted for the largest proportion of total expenditure.From the point of view of different departments,the changes of hospitalization expenses in operation Department are more than those in non-operation department,especially the differences of per capita nursing fee,inspection fee and inspection fee;The total per capita cost of surgical departments dropped by more than that of non operative departments.From different diseases,the trend of hospitalization expenses of surgical diseases(cholecystolithiasis)and medical diseases(type 2 diabetes mellitus)is different.,but the per capita total fee and self-expenditure have decreased,and the decline of surgical diseases(gallstones)is higher than that of medical diseases(type 2 diabetes mellitus).Conclusions:The primary achievement in the medical price reform is obtained,and prices composition for medical service are adjusted primarily,which embodies the value of technical work of medical workers and that does not aggravate patients' burden.
