The research on the temporal and spatial pattern of medical and health resources and health effects of residents are important areas of health geography research. This paper takes Hubei Province as the research object, clarifies the evolution process of medical and health resources and the spatial pattern of residents' health level, studies the influencing factors of the spatial and temporal pattern of medical and health resources, and the impact mechanism of medical and health resources on residents' health, and optimizes the allocation of regional medical and health resources.Provide a theoretical basis for the promotion of residents' health. The research indicates:(1)The overall allocation of medical and health resources in Hubei Province from 2000 to 2015 tends to be reasonable, and the spatial and temporal distribution characteristics are consistent with the characteristics of social and economic development in Hubei Province. The distribution and changes of prefecture-level medical and health resources in Hubei Province are generally in line with the spatial development pattern of "one main, two subordination, and six poles" in Hubei Province, and the medical and health resources in western Hubei have developed significantly. The spatial and temporal distribution changes of medical and health resources are consistent with the conclusions of spatial distribution analysis, and the spatial correlation of medical and health resources in Hubei Province is in a downward trend.(2)Overall the difference in the health level of residents in Hubei Province is on the rise, but the regional difference of the health level is gradually increasing. The health level of residents in Hubei Province showed obvious spatial and temporal differences and the spatial autocorrelation showed a downward trend. The health level of residents in Shiyan,Yichang,Huanggang,Xianning,Enshi,Huangshi and other areas has improved significantly in the past 15 years. The overall health level of the residents in northwestern Hubei, northeastern Hubei and eastern Hubei has developed to some extent. The growth rate of residents' health in marginal areas is relatively flat. The spatial and temporal distribution of health status and spatial agglomeration of Hubei residents and the spatial and temporal distribution and spatial agglomeration of medical and health resources are highly similar.(3)The factors of affecting the spatial and temporal distribution of medical and health resources. The denser the population distribution, the lower the level of medical and health resources;which indicates that the development rate of medical and health resources in Hubei Province has not matched the population density, and the growth rate of medical and health resources cannot adapt to the growth rate of the resident population;Areas with better economic development have higher levels of medical and health resources;so as the areas with higher levels of urbanization. It shows that there is still a certain gap of urban-rural distribution in terms of the spatial and temporal distribution of medical and health resources. The gap between the government's per capita health investment and medical and health resources has not passed the significant test. This paper holds the view that it is because the classification of government fiscal health expenditure is significantly related to the level of public hospitals.(4)The health effects of medical and health resources shows that the level of regional medical and health resources has a significant positive impact on the health of the regional population. The county-level scale also demonstrates the negative impact of a few areas.Distributed in the administrative center of the prefecture level and the provincial border, when the medical and health resources and the population health level reach a relatively high node at the same time, the impact of medical and health resources on the population health level will be weakened or even negative; The level of medical and health resources in remote areas is low enough to meet people's health needs, indicating that these counties should pay more attention to the improvement of local medical and health resources.Among the control variables, the improvement of the natural environment is crucial to the improvement of the population's health. The level of regional economic development has a negative impact on population health, and economic development plays an important role in the health of residents in less developed areas. The level of urbanization and the level of regional education have a significant positive impact on the health of the regional population, indicating that the improvement of urbanization level and education level will promote the improvement of regional residents' health.
