Objective:In this study, patients with mild to moderate depression were assessed with Hamilton Depression scale(HAMD).Two groups of patients were treated with oral Wumei pill and Delixine in a randomized controlled trial. In order to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Wumei pill,to evaluate the depression degree of patients and the influence of5-HT level in serum, and to analyze the correlation between the observed indexes, and to discuss the anti-depression mechanism of Wumeiwan..Methods:A total of 60 patients were screened in this study, all of whom met the inclusion criteria for this clinical trial. All the patients were divided into two groups: 30 cases in each group.Wumei pill decoction was used in the treatment group. The course of treatment was divided into 6 weeks, and every morning and evening were divided into two groups. The control group took a daily morning suit and a tablet of Delicol at noon. The total course of the study was also 6 weeks. The curative effect of the whole study was evaluated by three observation indexes, including Hamilton Depression scale(HAMD),TCM symptom scale(TCM),and blood 5-HT content. These indexes were performed before treatment and at the end of 6 weeks of treatment,respectively.PSS21.0 software was used for statistical analysis.Results:1.All the data obtained from the study, including the basic information of patients, including age, gender, duration of disease, nature of lesions, and the three observation indicators to evaluate the efficacy, were analyzed by SPSS21.0 statistical software before treatment, with no significant difference, indicating that the two groups of patients were comparable.2.The HAMD scale score, depression symptom score and 5-ht content were significantly different in the wumei pill decoction group before enrollment and after 6weeks of treatment(P < 0.01).So did patients in the control group.3.After 6 weeks of treatment, there was no significant difference in HAMD scale score,TCM symptom scale score and 5-ht content between the treatment group and the control group(P > 0.05).Conclusion:1.Wumeiwan decoction can improve the degree of depression in patients withdepression, and it has the same effect as dilixin group. It is a safe and effective method with no obvious adverse reactions, and is worthy of clinical promotion.2.Wumeiwan decoction can reduce the TCM depression syndrome score and HAMD score of depressed patients, and significantly increase the content of 5-ht in depression patients;3.Wumeiwan decoction can not only significantly improve the depressive symptoms of patients, but also better than deilixin in improving the difficulty in falling asleep, cognitive impairment, mental anxiety and sexual symptoms of patients.
