Background:Parkinson's disease is a progressive degenerative disease of the nervous system in the elderly,Parkinson's disease with static tremor, muscle rigidity, bradykinesia and abnor mal posture as the main motor symptoms, and with depression, constipation, insomnia, swe ating and other symptoms for non-motor symptoms, the most common symptom is de pression among them.According to the study that PDD is more common in the types of motion and rigidity.PDD is different from primary depression.Apathy, slow response, lack of attention, pleasure reduction is common symptom.PDD is mainly treated with w esten medicine, but there are many side effects, and the effect is not stable. The mecha nism according to the usual clinical experience,we think it is " Yang deficiency and liv er depression",So we conceived the treatment method of "Warming Yang and relieving depression".Traditional Chinese medicine has a unique advantage in the treatment of many diseases,it is of great significance to alleviate the patient's condition, improve the motor function and improve the quality of life by proper use of Chinese medicine tr eatment. Objective:The purpose of this study is to observe the clinical efficacy and safety of Wenya ng Jieyu formula by treating Parkinson disease depression, and to lay a foundation for the further popularization and application.Method:86 cases of PPD patients are divided into experimental and control groups rando mly which chosen from the Third Hospital of Beijing University of Traditional Chines e Medicine mainly, for Chinese medicine group 44 cases, and western medicine group 42 cases.Treatment Plan:The test group:Basic treatment and"Warming Yang and Relie ving Depression" prescription for 12 weeks; The control group:Basic treatment and V enlafaxine Hydrochloride Sustained-Release Capsules for 12 weeks. No any other antips ychotic drugs, antidepressant, mood stabilizers, sedative hypnotics and any other Chinese t raditional medicine can be used.Scored with short form 36 questionnaire(SF-36),Hamilt on Depression Scale(HAMD),TCM Syndrome Evaluation Form(kidney deficiency and 1i ver stagnation type),Comprehensive evaluation of Parkinson's disease(UPDRS??? par t)at the time of zero week, two weeks, twelve weeks' treatment respectively.Safety ind ex is evaluated by Treatment Emergent Symptom Scale(TESS).Observe the changes of score and evaluate its curative effects by SPSS20.0.The measurement datas are desc ribed by mean ± standard deviation(x ± s),Use t test and rank sum test and other meth ods,The count data is described by frequency and rate, and the method of chi square t est and rank sum test is adopted. The difference is statistically significant when P<0.05.Results:Comparison in groups:the two groups have significant changes compared with the previous of SF-36,HAMD,TCM Syndrome Evaluation Form,UPDRS ???part and TE SS(P<0.05).Comparison among groups:The TCM group have a more apparent improve ment by assessment scales except the HAMD when 12 weeks post(P<0.05),however,there is no difference between the two groups after treatment for 12 weeks of the HA MD,and there is no difference between the two groups after treatment for 2 weeks.T he results of TESS shows that the side effects of TCM group are less than that of W estern medicine group. Conclusions:The method of "Warming Yang and Relieving Depression" can improve the clinic al symptoms and improve the quality of life of patients with PDD.The effect of Chin ese medicine on depression of PPD patients is the same as that of Western Medicine, and its adverse reactions are relatively small,it is worth promoting in clinical.
