Objective:In this study, acupoint catgut embedding therapy was compared with oral treatment of Chinese patent medicine, and the clinical symptom score of constipation and PAC-QOL scale were used to evaluate the curative effect of acupoint catgut embedding therapy on constipation after apoplexy. So as to provide the basis for the clinical treatment of constipation after apoplexy and lay the foundation for the next step to study the mechanism of acupoint catgut embedding in the treatment of constipation after apoplexy. Methods:Sixty patients with post-stroke constipation recruited in the second affiliated Hospital of Anhui University of traditional Chinese Medicine were randomly divided into two groups: thread embedding group(n = 30)and Chinese medicine group(n = 30).On the basis of routine basic treatment, the patients in the treatment group were treated with bilateral Tianshu, branch ditch, upper giant deficiency,Zusanli point embedding, and the control group were treated with maoren pill orally,9 g each time, twice a day,and the patients in the control group were treated with Maren Pill orally,on the basis of routine basic treatment. After 30 days of treatment, the overall curative effect, clinical symptom score, first defecation time,PAC-QOL score were observed, and the data were analyzed statistically to obtain the results.Results:1.The total clinical score of constipation: there was significant difference between the two groups before and after treatment(P<0.05),and there was significant difference between the two groups after treatment(P<0.05).Before and after treatment, the total score decreased between groups, the embedding line group was better than the traditional Chinese medicine group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.Clinical symptoms of constipation: after treatment, the scores of each symptom in the two groups were significantly improved(P<0.05).After treatment, there was a significant difference between the two groups in the improvement of both symptoms(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in other symptoms between the two groups(P>0.05).Before and after treatment, there was no significant difference(P>0.05)in the difference between the scores of symptoms of constipation and other symptoms(P<0.05),except that there was significant difference in the difference between the two groups(P<0.05).3.The total score of QOL: there was significant difference between the two groups after treatment(P<0.01),and the difference between the two groups before and after treatment was significant(P<0.01).4.The total effective rate of the two groups was 90% in the treatment group and 83.33% in the control group. There was no significant difference in the effective rate between the two groups(P>0.05)Conclusion: Both catgut embedding therapy and Maren pills can effectively treat constipation after apoplexy.Acupoint catgut embedding is superior to traditional Chinese medicine group in improving the total score of clinical symptoms and quality of life scale of constipation. In the daily comprehensive treatment, acupoint catgut embedding therapy can avoid the possible adverse drug reactions that patients need to take a variety of drugs in the treatment, and shorten the treatment time of clinicians. In summary, acupoint catgut embedding therapy can be a safe and effective method for the treatment of constipation after apoplexy. |
