Objective:Functional constipation (Functional Constipation, FC) is a common disease, clinical on the disease, and the illness is stubborn, protracted course. With the development of society, the change of the life habits, aging, The incidence of the disease is increasing year by year, resulting in a serious impact on human health and quality of life.Functional constipation is caused by organic disease after exclusion of constipation, difficult defecation, defecation or laborious to the poor, he is too low, dry stool and less as the main performance. Which is more common in the elderly, but now the age has the decreasing trend. Chronic constipation, the incidence rate of about3.7%-14%, the prevalence rates of male and female is about3.5:1. Constipation also can cause colon cancer, Alzheimer’s disease and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular accident. It is of great significance to explore the methods of treatment of functional constipation, correct, positive norms, reasonable.Known acupuncture is one of the most important therapy method of FC, the modern medical science foundation of acupuncture in the treatment of constipation is acupuncture can promote gastrointestinal motility, and achieve the effect of tackling the problem by adjusting the gastrointestinal function, to treat constipation.Acupoint catgut embedding therapy is a new therapy is young, it is in order to avoid the new acupuncture acupuncture cannot for long time and long time retention is not feasible and derivative. The absorbable collagen wire embedded in vivo, acupoint long-term stimulation in the absorption cycle, prolong the effect lasted, to decrease the frequency of patients has more advantage. Methods:Come from Hubei traditional Chinese medicine university affiliated Chinese acupuncture clinic76patients met the diagnostic criteria of2006Rome III functional constipation in patients with FC, randomly divided into treatment group (catgut embedding group) and control group (acupuncture group)38cases.Treatment group were treated with acupoint catgut embedding therapy, acupoint selection:"Tianshu (double)""Shangjuxu (double)","Zhi Gou (double)","zhongwan".1times every15days,1to1course of treatment; the control group were treated with acupuncture, tertian1, for6consecutive days, rest for1days, two weeks for1courses.The two groups were treated for three courses after the comparative study, Bristol score, clinical constipation score (Cleveland Clinic, Score, CCS) in patients with FC before and after treatment respectively and observe the clinical therapeutic effects were assessed, the overall efficacy of the two groups, and analyze the results of data statistics and finally with SPSS17.0.Results:The treatment group and the control group the total effective rate were81.56%and79.38%, the statistical analysis, suggesting that differences in the total effect of the two groups had no statistical significance (P>0.05).The treatment group and the control group before and after treatment the symptoms score change after statistical analysis, all P values were less than0.05, indicating that the treatment group and the control group before and after treatment the symptom integral significantly. But for the treatment group and the control group after treatment compared symptom scores, CCS scores in a single defecation time and defecation frequency two P<0.05per week, the difference was statistically significant, suggesting that the treatment group improved on patients with single defecation time and defecation frequency of weekly symptoms curative effect is better than the control group in the CCS score.Conclusions:1.Two methods for the treatment of acupuncture, catgut implantation at acupoint can improve constipation symptoms, has obvious clinical curative effect.2.Acupoint catgut embedding therapy group and acupuncture group score, in the CCS total score and the clinical efficacy was not significantly different in Bristol, in the CCS score for single defecation time and defecation frequency two week there were statistically significant differences in efficacy of acupoint catgut embedding therapy group, acupuncture group.
