Objective:To investigate the mental resilience, social support and disease perception of young and middle-aged patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. To analyze the main influencing factors of mental resilience in young and middle-aged patients with type 2diabetes;To explore the relationship between mental resilience and social support and disease perception in young and middle-aged patients with type 2 diabetes, and to analyze the mechanism of action among disease perception, social support and mental resilience,so as to provide theoretical basis for improving the level of mental resilience of patients with diabetes, promoting their mental health and improving their quality of life. Methods:A cross-sectional survey was conducted to select one of the two tertiary general hospitals in Nanchang City,Jiangxi Province, using a convenient sampling method. From June 2018 to November 2018,150 young and middle-aged patients with type 2diabetes were enrolled in the endocrinology department.Questionnaires were conducted in face-to-face format.Measurement tools include the patient's general condition questionnaire, the Chinese version of the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale(CD-RISC),the Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS),and the Chinese version of the Simple Disease Awareness Scale(Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire,BIPQ).The data were recorded, sorted and analyzed by SPSS17.0 software. The data were analyzed by descriptive analysis,t-test,analysis of variance, correlation analysis and multiple linear regression.P<0.05 was considered statistically significant, all P Values are two-sided tests.Results:1.A total of 150 questionnaires were distributed in this study, and 5 invalid questionnaires were excluded. The effective rate was 96.67%.Among the 145 patients, the age ranged from 18 to 59 years old and the mean age was(45.36±10.62)years old. There were 87 males and 58 females.2.The total score of psychological flexibility of young and middle-aged type 2diabetes patients was(60.52±6.31),the lowest score was 45 points, and the highest score was 74 points. The scores of each dimension were: the toughness dimension score was(30.61±5.51)points,self-improvement The dimension score was(21.19±2.48)points and the optimistic dimension score was(8.72±1.87)points.3.The total social support score of young and middle-aged type 2 diabetes patients was(40.97±5.44),the lowest score was 27 points, and the highest score was53 points. The scores of each dimension were: subjective support score(23.90±4.34),objective support Score(9.93 ± 2.33)points,support utilization score(7.13±1.65)points.4.The total score of disease perception of young and middle-aged type 2 diabetes patients was(42.93±8.15),the lowest score was 24 points, and the highest score was64 points. The scores of each dimension were: cognitive dimension(24.12±6.65),emotional dimension(13.58±3.06),and comprehension ability dimension(5.23±1.77).5.The mental resilience scores of young and middle-aged patients with type 2diabetes were different in different gender, age, education level, marital status, per capita monthly family income, treatment mode, course of disease and number of complications, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).6.The mental resilience score of young and middle-aged patients with type 2diabetes is positively correlated with the total score of social support(r=0.926,P <0.01),and positively correlated with the total score of disease perception(r=0.796,P< 0.01).7.The results of multiple linear regression showed that the patient's education level, monthly family income per capita, treatment mode, number of complications, disease perception score and social support score entered the regression equation, and a total of 32.8% of the total variation was predicted.Conclusion:1.The overall level of mental resilience of young and middle-aged patients withtype 2 diabetes is not optimistic.2.The social support of young and middle-aged type 2 diabetes patients is at a medium level, and the patients have a good perception of the disease.3.The total score of mental resilience of young and middle-aged patients with type 2 diabetes is positively correlated with the score of social support, that is,the higher the degree of social support, the better the level of mental resilience. The total score of mental resilience of young and middle-aged patients with type 2 diabetes is positively correlated with the score of disease perception, that is,the higher the disease perception is,the higher the level of mental resilience is.4.The mental resilience level of young and middle-aged patients with type 2diabetes is affected by education level, family per capita monthly income, treatment mode, complications, social support and disease perception. The higher the education level and the per capita monthly income of the family, the higher the psychological resilience of the patients. The mental resilience of the patients treated with non-insulin was higher than that of the patients treated with insulin.Patients with more complications had lower levels of mental resilience.
