Objective:By investigating the prevalence of non-suicidal self-injury?NSSI?behaviors among rural high school students in Wuyuan County, this study explores the epidemiological characteristics of NSSI behavior in high school students, studies the risk factors of NSSI behavior in high school students in Wuyuan County, and discusses the cumulative effects of risk factors.Provide evidence for the local education system to carry out health education and health promotion activities for middle school students in Wuyuan County. Methods:Taking Ziyang high school as the survey sites, all the students in the 10th and 11thh grades were sampled and selected students in each class are required to conduct the Youth Risk Behavior Survey?2018?.Data entry, cleaning, and analysis were performed using EpiData 3.0,SAS 9.0,and SPSS 19.0 software, respectively.Univariate analysis was performed using Chi-squire test, and multivariate analysis was performed using Logistic regression. The odds ratio?OR?was used to determine the risk factors and the degree of danger of NSSI.The test level?=0.05.Results:?1?A total of 1,695 questionnaires were distributed,1,678 points were collected on site, and 1,667 were valid questionnaires.?2?The average age of 1,667 respondents was 16.75±0.75 year's old, there are559 high school students left-behind?33.53%?and 1,108 non-left-behind high school students?66.47%?.There were 184 high school students who had NSSI behavior in the past 12 months, and the overall prevalence rate was 11.04%?184/1,667?.In the specific implementation of NSSI,ranked first is“Biting”,a total of 65 people?3.90%?,the second is“Scratching or pull your hair hard”,a total of 64 people?3.84%?,the third is“Cutting or carving into skin”,a total of 45 people?2.70%?.?3?Univariate analysis showed that there was a statistics difference?P<0.05?between the NSSI behavior and“Family structure”,“Physical fight”,“Bullied”,“Learning pressure”,“Love experience”,“Health status”variables of high school students. The differences between“Gender”,“Age”,“Grade”,“Father's highest education”,“Mother's highest education”,“Family economic status”and“Whether left behind”were not detected in high school students'NSSI behavior?P>0.05?.?4?After controlling the demographic differences of the respondents,“Having a physical fighting history”?OR=4.57,95%CI:3.016.94?,“Encounter bullying”?OR=3.67,95%CI:2.525.33?,“Smoking”?OR=2.49,95%CI:1.653.75?,"Drinking"?OR=2.53,95%CI:1.823.51?,"There is family dysfunction"?OR=2.45,95%CI:1.793.36?,“Having a love experience”?OR=1.47,95%CI:1.062.03?,self-assessment of health“Prone to unhealthy”?OR=4.02,95%CI:2.596.24?and“General”?OR=2.09,95%CI:1.502.91?The respondents who participated in the NSSI risk were higher than other characteristics. The risk of NSSI in left-behind high school students was 0.98 times that of non-left-behind high school students, but the difference was not statistically significant?OR=0.98,95%CI:0.701.37?.?5?After the mutual influence of the complete correction variables,“Female”?OR=1.84,95%CI:1.292.63?,“Having a physical fighting history”?OR=3.22,95%CI:2.094.98?,“Encountered bullying”?OR=2.56,95%CI:1.733.80?,"Drinking"?OR=1.98,95%CI:1.402.79?,"There was family dysfunction"?OR=1.76,95%CI:1.26?2.45),health status"Prone to unhealthy"?OR=3.00,95%CI:1.884.76?,health status"General"?OR=1.85,95%CI:1.242.77?,“High learning pressures”?OR=1.71,95%CI:1.202.42?is an independent risk of NSSI behavior.?6?Compared with the subjects with a risk factor of 0,the risk of NSSI was 2.78times higher than that of the subjects with a risk factor of 1,but the difference was not statistically significant?P=0.09?;The risk of NSSI behavior among respondents with a risk factor of 2 was 5.55 times that of 0 risk factors?P<0.01?;The risk of NSSI behavior among respondents with a risk factor of 3 was 14.33 times that of 0 risk factors?P<0.01?.The risk of NSSI behavior among subjects with 4 or more risk factors was 28.46 times that of 0 risk factors?P<0.01?.Conclusion:?1?The prevalence of NSSI behavior in high school students is 11.04%.?2?The NSSI behavior of high school students is statistically different between“Family structures”;?3?Female,Physical fighting history,Encountered bullying,Drinking history,Family dysfunction,Health status"Prone to unhealthy",Health status"General",“High learning pressures”is an independent risk factor for NSSI behavior of high school students When there are any two or more of the above risk factors, the risk of NSSI behavior in high school students is higher.?4?The“Left-behind”status does not increase the risk of NSSI behavior in high school students. When relevant departments conduct NSSI behavioral health education and health promotion activities, they may not treat the“Left-behind”group differently.?5?School administrators need to focus on the prevention and intervention of bullying victim and physical fighting on campus, especially the female group, and ease the pressure of learning.Families should give full play to their parent-child functions, and parents should give their children more care.
