Effect Of TCM-specific Health Education On The Treatment Of Type 2 Tiabetes In The Community

OBJECTIVE: To standardize the management of patients with type 2 diabetes(T2DM)in the target community,and to give health education to the characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine.The main contents include the theoretical knowledge of TCM and the dietary structure.The changes of fasting blood glucose(FBG),postprandial blood glucose(2hPBG)and glycosylated hemoglobin(HbAlc)levels were analyzed after receiving TCM-specific diabetes health education.Through analysis,discuss and summarize the effect and experience of TCM-specific health education on the treatment of type 2diabetes patients in the community.METHODS: Two community health service centers with relatively complete chronic disease management systems were selected.According to the inclusion criteria of this study,100 patients with type 2 diabetes in the community health service center chronic disease management system were included in their health education management and behavioral intervention.Features Chinese medicine.One hundred patients enrolled in the study were randomized into two groups,which were recorded as a control group(n=50)and an education group(n=50).The control group: did not interfere with normal hypoglycemic drugs /insulin treatment,did not accept any other intervention;education group: do not interfere with normal hypoglycemic drugs / insulin therapy,regular Chinese health education intervention.The intervention time is 12 months.Fasting blood glucose(FBG),postprandial 2-hour blood glucose(2hPBG),and glycosylated hemoglobin(HbAlc)data were collected,analyzed,and compared before intervention,6 months of intervention,and 12 months of intervention.All data were statistically analyzed using SPSS 17.0 software.RESULTS: Before the intervention,there was no significant difference in the levels of FBG,2hPBG and HbAlc between the control group and the experimental group(P>0.05),which was comparable.After the intervention of the education group,the FBG,2hPBG,and HbAlc levels decreased after 6months and 12 months after intervention.The results were significantly different(P<0.05).Compared with the control group,the education group showed a significant decrease in FBG,2hPBG,and HbAlc levels after 6months and 12 months after intervention.The results were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion: 1.Good TCM health education can effectively affect the control level of FBG,2hPBG and HbAlc in patients;2.Based on community health service center,fully manage the organization of type 2 diabetes patients for health education and health management,methods It is feasible and effective.
