Beijing Hospital Of Traditional Chinese Medicine Nursing Health Education And Technical Operation Of Present Application Status Of The Investigation And Study

ObjectiveThe was the Investigation Research of health education having the characteristic of TCM and TCM nursing operation technology in clinic application in grade2Chinese medical hospitals or above in Beijing. The research is going through questionnaires developed by myself. The research was combined with qualitative interview to explore the measures promoting health education having the characteristic of TCM and TCM nursing operation technology. At the same time, by means of case study to provide references for Chinese medicine department.MethodThis research adopts the stratified sampling method and the cluster sampling method extracting4Chinese medical hospitals of grade3and3Chinese medical hospitals of grade2, in which57head nurses were interviewed. Then,307nurses were selected from3-4Chinese medicine departments of every hospital to investigate.The qualitative interview adopts the method of purpose sampling.5experts were interviewed. The transcription draft was analyzed using induction analytic method.The case study adopts Participatory observation.Results and ConclusionThe first part:the Investigation Research of health education having the characteristic of TCM and TCM nursing operation technology in clinic application in grade2Chinese medical hospitals or above in BeijingResults:(1)General information of Chinese medicine departments:①There are50.0%of Chinese medical hospitals of grade2and67.4%of Chinese medical hospitals of grade3whose proportion between the number of beds and nurses of is less than1:0.4;②45.9%of nurses are Junior College degree, second is Technical school education and Bachelor degree. Only0.1%of nurses are Graduate student degree.③68.7%of nurses are graduated from western medicine colleges and universities.(2)The development of TCM nursing operation technology:②The number of Chinese medicine departments developing Herbal coloclysis is the most, accounting for52.6%of the total. The second is Auricular Point Press Therapy, only1.8%of departments develop Warm Needle Moxibustion, Hot application of medicine therapy, Suppository therapy;②The number of application of every TCM nursing operation technology is from1to350times per week.③The application that nurses use TCM nursing operation technology:there are respectively89.3%、75.6%、67.4%of nurses using Auricular Point Press Therapy、 moxa-cone moxibustion、moxa-stick moxibustion; however, there are less than10%of nurses using Traditional Chinese medicine foot reflection therapy、Hot application of medicine therapy、air pressure circulation therapeutic instrument、 a cold compress method、Smearing therapy;④he mean of knowledge of Auricular Point Press Therapy、cupping therapy is more than three points, the mean of other technologies is three points below;(3)The development of health education having the characteristic of TCM:①The number of Chinese medicine departments developing health education that has the characteristic of TCM accounts for85.97%;②The way developing health education is mainly focus on random propaganda and education, issuing publicity material and opening publicity column;③The number of Chinese medicine departments without developing health education that has the characteristic of TCM accounts for63.2%;④The number of nurses developing diet health education is the most, accounting for95.8%of the total, and environmental aspects of health education is at least, accounting for76.9%.Conclusion:①The number of traditional Chinese nursing staff is insufficient; The nurses are young, lack of clinic experiences, low degree and their professional background is weak;②The rate of the application of TCM nursing operation technology is low. The level that nurses master the technology is not the same, and the overall situation is poor;③he way developing health education is less, and its system of evaluation needs to improve;④he nurses do not mastering the knowledge of TCM nursing operation technology very well. The number of TCM nursing staff is insufficient. The charge of TCM nursing is low. TCM nursing talents are deficient. These problems need to be solved urgently.⑤e can increasing the investment of TCM nursing, regulate the behavior of TCM nursing operation technology and make them skilled. We also should build the education system of TCM nursing and training program for nurses training them in multiple ways, increase charging standard of technology and the number of nurses. In a word, we should take many measures to improve the development of health education having the characteristic of TCM and TCM nursing operation technology. The second part:the qualitative interviewThrough the qualitative interview I finally find4themes to improve the development of health education having the characteristic of TCM and TCM nursing operation technology:to establish the system of health education having the characteristic of TCM and TCM nursing operation technology and making it sound; the nursing department should play a role in management; to optimized allocation of the human resources of TCM nursing; to establish health education having the characteristic of TCM that really have characteristic of TCM.The third part:the case studyThe two cases show that the following measures play a role in improving the development of health education having the characteristic of TCM and TCM nursing operation technology:to set up a special TCM nursing group, let the specialist be responsible for management and implementation; to formulate procedures and rules of every TCM nursing operation technology; to build system of evaluation.
