Objective:The aim of this study was to treat the chronic pelvic pain of Qi deficiency and blood stasis type by using traditional Chinese medicine based on the method of the supplemented and applied treatment principles of traditional Chinese medicine combined with electrical stimulation. The scores of symptom in Chinese medicine, signs, pelvic VAS pain and interleukin-6 were compared before and after treatment, evaluate the clinical efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine combined with electrical stimulation in the treatment of chronic pelvic pain of qi deficiency and blood stasis type and preliminarily explore its action mechanism to seek a more feasible plan to treat the chronic pelvic pain.Methods:77 patients with chronic pelvic pain who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into three groups. The treatment group had 27 patients. They were treated with traditional Chinese medicine based on the method of the supplemented and applied treatment principles combined with electrical stimulation. The control group 1 had 26 patients. They ware orally administered with the supplemented and applied treatment principles of traditional Chinese medicine alone, and the control group 2 had 24 patients. They were orally adm inistered with Danhuangquyu capsule. After one course of treatment(3 months),the changes of the scores of symptom in Chinese medicine, sign,VAS pain and interleukin-6 were observed before and after treatment, and SPSS 19 software was used for statistical analysis.Results:1.Compare the total effective rate of treatment:The total effective rate of treatment group, control group 1 and control group 2 was 96.3%,69.23%and 33.33%respectively;The effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group 1 and 2(P<0.05);and the total effective rate of the control group 1 was better than that of the control group 2(P<0.05).2.Compare the scores of VAS pain:After treatment, the scores of VAS pain of the three groups were decreased than those of the control group(P<0.05).The effective rate was 96.3%in the treatment group, and in the control group 1 was 69.23%and in the control group 2 was 50%.There was statistical significance between the treatment group and the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the scores of VAS pain between control group 1 and control group 2(P>0.05).3.Comparison the score improvement of symptom in Chinese medicine:The scores of TCM syndrome symptoms in the three groups were lower than those before treatment(P<0.05),with statistical significance; The effective rate of treatment gro up.,control gro up 1 and control group 2 was 96.3%,65.38%and 33.33%respectively;Compared before and after treatment, the treatment group was obviously superior to the control group 1 and the control group 2,P<0.05;There was no significant difference in the score of symptom in Chinese medicine between control group 1 and control 9,group 2 after treatment(P=0.055).4.Comparison of scores of signs:the sign of disease of the three groups of diata were relieved after treatment.P<0.0001 with statistical significance; The effective rate of treatment group.control group 1 and control group 2 was 96.3%,6 9.23%and 29.17%resp ectively; There were significant differences in the scores of local signs among the three groups(P<0.05).The results showed that the scores of local signs after treatment in experimental group w ere lower than those in control group 1(P<0.05)and control group 2(P<0.05).There was significant difference in the scores of local signs between control group 1 and control group 2 after treatment(P<0.05).5.IL-6 level:IL-6 level could be down-regulated in all three groups, and there was significant difference before and after treatment, and there was significant difference between the treatment group and the control group(P<0.05).The decrease level of control group and control group was the same and there was no significant di fference(P>0.05).6.Comparison of recurrence after 3 months of treatment:the recurrence rate was the lowest in the treatment group and the highest in the contro group 2.Conclusion:1.There is obvious effect and low recurrence rate by using the supplemented and applied treatment principles combined with electrical stimulation to treat chronic pelvic pain of qi deficiency and blood stasis type, which can significantly relieve the pain symptom and the signs, reduce the level of interleukin-6,and improve the quality of life of patients.2.The treatment of chronic pelvic pain with qi deficiency and blood stasis by pure the supplemented and applied treatment principles of the traditional Chinese medicine was also effective.3.The combination of traditional medical therapy and modern medical therapy in China provides more safe and effective treatment for chronic pelvic pain.
