Objective:Ammonia fennel mixture(MAF)as expectorant cough medicine,mainly used for the treatment of acute bronchitis,acute pharyngitis,cold and other acute upper respiratory tract infection caused by cough,cough sputum.Through the research on clinical efficacy and in vitro bacteriostatic effect,the clinical efficacy of MAF was further explored and analyzed,so as to better evaluate the effectiveness and safety of MAF and provide reference for clinical rational drug use.Methods:From September 2018 to February 2019,a total of 67 patients with cough and sputum cough were selected to visit the outpatient department of respiratory medicine of liuzhou people's hospital.A randomized controlled clinical trial was conducted to randomly divide the patients into two groups:study group and control group.MAF was used in 33 patients in the study group.In the control group,34 cases were treated with ambroxol hydrochloride oral solution.The treatment methods are as follows: 1.Basic treatment,including the use of antibacterial drugs,and the drug name,dosage,usage and course of treatment shall be truthfully recorded.2.Intervention treatment.In addition to conventional treatment,the patient also took MAF(100ml/ bottle)for treatment.Take 10 ml each time,3 times a day.The control group received conventional treatment,while taking ambroxol hydrochloride oral solution(100ml:0.6g/bottle),taking 10 ml once,three times a day.After treatment,the main comprehensive symptoms and signs of cough and expectoration,the single main symptoms and signs,and the improvement of the single secondary symptoms and signs were observed.Comparison of severe adverse reactions or adverse events during treatment.In vitro bacteriostatic test method: according to Chinese pharmacopoeia microbial assay for antibiotics,the sensitivity of MAF to S.aureus,P.aeruginosa,E.coli,A.baumanii and other strains was tested by tube and plate method(also known as cup and plate method)to determine its bacteriostatic activity.Results:The total effective rates were 96.97% and 91.18%,respectively,and the recovery rates were 84.85% and 73.53%,respectively.There were significant differences,p < 0.05.There were significant differences between the study group and the control group in single major symptoms and signs and single minor symptoms and signs before and after treatment,p < 0.05.This indicates that the study group is superior to the control group in clinical efficacy.In the routine dose,1 adverse event occurred in both the study group and the control group,with an incidence of 3.03% and 2.94%,respectively.In vitro bacteriostatic experiments,MAF did not produce corresponding bacteriostatic circles against P.aeruginosa,E.coli and A.baumanii.Conclusions:MAF treatment of acute bronchitis,acute pharyngitis,cold and other acute upper respiratory tract infection caused by cough,cough sputum,clinical efficacy is definite and significant,high safety,easy to take.The clinical efficacy of ammonia fennel mixture is mainly reflected in expectoration and cough relief.In terms of bacteriostatic and anti-inflammatory effects,thisexperiment did not reflect them,but it does not indicate that they have no bacteriostatic activity against other pathogenic bacteria,which needs to be expanded and further studied.
