Clinical Research Of Treatment For Chronic Cough By Ganxing Couch Mixture

Cough is the common clinical symptom,and chronic cough is one of the special type. Chonic cough is that the cough more than 8 weeks without any problem on X-ray.In our country,the common pathogeny is cough variant asthma(CVA),postnasal dropsyndrome(PNDS),eosinophilic bronchitis(EB),gastroesophageal reflux cough(GERC). These pathogeny is 70%-95%of the chronic cough's in respiratory clinic.Chronic cough is very hit in western medicine.And it has a practical diagnosticate process.It can amostly confirm the pathogeny of mostly patient and has exact effects.It is supported by a lot of experiment datas.The ZhongShan hospital of TCM develop the Ganxing cough mixture by the experience of them in the traditional medicine's theory.The Ganxing cough mixture has some effects for all kind of pathogeny of chronic cough.But it has little of clinical observation to the effects of chronic cough by the Ganxing cough mixture.Objective:Watch the effects of chronic cough by the Ganxing cough mixture,in order to afford a effective evidence for the treatment to the chronic cough patients by Ganxing cough mixture.Method:60 patients who accord the criterion of chronic cough in 18～60 years old were divided into the experiment group and the comparison group.The former was treated with western medicine and Ganxing cough mixture.The latter was treated with western medicine.The therapeutic effect was evaluated 4 weeks after the therapies,through calculating the total score with Microsoft Excel 2003 and carrying out statistic analysis with SPSS 16.0,applying Ridit analysis,T-Test,Paired-Samples T Test,One-Way ANOVA to compare the difference of the effects between two groups.Result:the experiment group's points 4.57±1.57 before treatment has distinct difference as the points 2.17±1.39 after treatment(P<0.05).The comparison group's points 4.50±1.63 before treatment has distinct difference as the points 2.77±1.38 after treatment(P<0.05).The reduced points of the experiment 2.40±1.28 is distinct different from the comparison group's 1.73±0.91(P<0.05).The therapeutic effect of the lung yin deficiency pattern patients is more better than the others in the experiment group via the Paired-Samples T Test and N-K test.Conclusion:cough is one of the common clinical symptoms.And the chronic cough patients is a great mass of the respiratory clinic.Ganxing cough mixture that developed by ZhongShan hospital of TCM has distinct effect to the chronic cough patients especially the lung yin deficiency pattern ones.So Ganxing cough mixture can used for the chronic cough patients widely in clinic.The research has a little deficiency that the samples is little and lack of biochemistry guide line because of limited research condition.It can make the project more perfect in case enlarging the samples and choosing some new biochemistry guide line and so on.
