Objective: To retrospectively analyze the clinical data of patients with ulcerative colitis, the treatment plan and the recurrence rate and maintenance time of remission during the hospitalization period, and to explore the general clinical features, treatment options and syndrome differentiation characteristics of the disease. The rule of treatment during the remission period and the evaluation of the clinical efficacy and value of the combination of Chinese and Western medicine in the remission period. Methods: This study used retrospective analysis of the method, from the outpatient and ward of the Department of Spleen and Gastroenterology of Anhui Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, after screening by inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria, collected 72 eligible medical records during the period from June 2006 to June 2017.By analyzing the patient's clinical data, the patient's clinical basic information, clinical features, endoscopy and pathological manifestations were analyzed.According to the different treatment options, the patients were divided into the control group and the treatment group. The control group was treated with the Western medicine program alone. The treatment group was treated with a combination of Chinese and Western medicine(see the inclusion criteria). After the treatment, the two groups were followed for 12 months.During the follow-up period, the two groups continued to take western medicine. The number of recurrences and maintenance time of the two groups were recorded during the study, and the recurrence rate and duration of remission period were compared between the two groups to evaluate the therapeutic effect of TCM combined with Western medicine in the remission period of ulcerative colitis. Results: In the remission rate of ulcerative colitis and the time to maintain remission, the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(p<0.05),and the treatment group was superior to the control group.2.The distribution of TCM syndrome differentiation in ulcerative colitis was followed by spleen deficiency and dampness syndrome, cold and heat syndrome, liver spleen deficiency syndrome, large intestine dampness syndrome, spleen and kidney yang deficiency syndrome, and yin deficiency deficiency syndrome.3.The common causes of ulcerative colitis are as follows: diet, mood disorders, infection, and carelessness.4.The cases with chronic recurrence were more common in this study. The lesions were mainly in the rectum, and the disease was more common in mild to moderate conditions.5.Chinese medicine is used to supplement qi,dampness,qi,heat, blood circulation, detoxification, digestion, and Wenli medicine. The drugs with higher frequency in various categories are fried atractylodes, atractylodes, woody, fried berberine.,red peony, purslane, bud, gun ginger.6.Remission symptoms of digestive tract: abdominal pain,no formation of stool with mucus, bowel, abdominal pain-fecal-postprandial pain, anal discomfort as the main clinical manifestations. Conclusion: 1.TCM syndrome differentiation combined with western medicine treatment of ulcerative colitis in remission period can prolong the remission period and reduce the recurrence rate, which has certain clinical significance and provides reference for clinical application.2.The syndrome of ulcerative colitis in the remission period is the most common form of spleen deficiency and dampness syndrome.3.The treatment of Chinese medicine in the remission period mainly consists of replenishing qi and strengthening the spleen, regulating qi and spleen, and often treating the blood circulation, clearing away heat and detoxifying, digesting and accumulating.4.The clinical symptoms of ulcerative colitis in remission period are similar to irritable bowel irritable bowel syndrome. The treatment methods are similar, reflecting the characteristics and advantages of TCM treatment.
