The purpose of this study is to explore the clinical features of UC in general and oral medicine enema combined advantages of UC efficacy, hope this research can be combined with oral medicine enema UC comprehensive treatment provided the basis for evidence-based and ideas to improve the clinical healer for understanding and developing UC UC TCM treatment strategies provide some help. Methods:For January 2012 to 12 in 2014 in Beijing Chinese Medicine Hospital, Capital Medical University 114 hospitalized patients with ulcerative colitis clinical data acquisition system through His observation include:general information of the patient, the Western diagnosis, treatment the main clinical symptoms and laboratory test results before and after a change, medical advice and treatment costs statistics and other information. After processing the collected data in Excel and databases using SPSS 16.0 statistical package was used for statistical analysis to P<0.05 was considered statistically significant.Results:1. General information:In the 114 cases of UC patients,57 cases are male patients. The others are female patients.the gender ratio is 1:1.The rate of patients has no significant difference between men and women. The oldest is 83 and the youngest is 16 years old, with an average age of 43.68±15.62 years old.The largest of all ages is the number of 50 to 59 years, followed by 20 to 29 years old.UC patients admitted to the hospital have regional differences, mainly in the northern region. In the 114 cases of UC patients, most patients are Beijing native, up to 59 cases, followed by 22 cases followed by Hebei,9 cases in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region,6 cases in Shaanxi Province,5 cases in Heilongjiang Province, two cases in Shandong Province, one case in Henan Province, one case in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, one case in Liaoning Province, one case in Xinjiang Uygur ethnic autonomous, the southern region:two cases in Anhui, two cases in Jiangsu Province, two cases in Hunan, one case in Jiangxi.2. The incidence of solar terms, Seasons:114 cases of patients with UC onset throttle are evenly distributed, but the onset of the season has difference. There are 24 solar division method according to the seasons.Summer has 37 cases (32.46%), which is the most. Followed were:spring with 29 cases (25.44%), fall with 27 cases (23.68%), winter with 21 cases (18.42%).3. The number of days of hospitalization:114 cases of UC patients, the number of days in hospital for 15 to 28 days at most, accounting for 56.14 percent, followed by 8 to 14 days, seven days or less and more than 28 days, respectively, accounting for 28.07%,8.77%, 7.02%.4. Clinical types:94.74% of hospitalized patients with chronic relapsing UC,5.26% for the early onset UC. Disease stage:Most active period, accounting for 98.25%, while only 1.75% is remission. Severity:35.97% for mild, moderate at most, accounting for 40.35%, accounting for 23.68% severe. Lesions range:about 10.53% for rectal, approximately 14.91% of the rectosigmoid, approximately 29.82% for the left colon, approximately 28.95% for the whole colon, approximately 15.79% as widely colon,114 cases of hospitalized patients, the left up to half of patients and the entire colon colon type. In addition,5.26% associated with arthritis and conjunctivitis.5. TCM syndrome:The number of patients with colorectal damp-heat syndrome UC (42.11%), followed by Spleen deficiency with dampness syndrome (32.46%), Yang deficiency of spleen and kidney (10.53%), Syndrome of intermingled heat and cold (8.77%), Liver stagnation and spleen deficiency syndrome (5.26%) and Yin and blood deficiency (0.87%). Where the Syndrome of intermingled deficiency and excess (Spleen deficiency with dampness syndrome, liver and spleen deficiency syndrome and Syndrome of intermingled heat and cold) accounted for 46.49%, the empirical (damp heat syndrome) accounted for 42.11%, deficiency (Yang deficiency of spleen and kidney, Yin and blood deficiency) accounted for 11.40%.6. Treatment:treatment with integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine integrated in the Department of internal medicine for treatment principle, mainly in the traditional Chinese medicine decoction, the salad, probiotics combined with traditional Chinese medicine enema.114 cases of UC were treated with oral beauty salad (96.49%)/sulfasalazine (3.51%) combined with traditional Chinese medicine decoction (100%) oral treatment. In 77 cases (67.54%) of UC patients using traditional Chinese medicine enema, of which 30 cases of mild to moderate (38.96%),30 cases (38.96%), followed by the 17 severe cases (22.08%); an enema with traditional Chinese medicine in patients with lesions in 25 patients with left colonic type (32.47%), followed by 19 cases of colon type (24.68%),12 cases (15.58%) straight B, rectal type in 11 cases (14.29%), extensive colonic type 10 cases (12.99%). Of which about 49.12% of the patient medicine costs less than 1,000 yuan,1,000 to 2,000 yuan accounted for 38.60 percent, from 2,000 to 3,000 yuan accounted for about 7.89 percent, from 3,000 to 4,000 yuan accounted for about 2.63 percent, more than 4,000 yuan accounted for about 1.75 percent.52.63% of the patients enjoy health care treatment,47.37% of patients at their own expense.Conclusions:1. In our hospital, UC occurred more common in 50 to 59 and 20 to 29 years old. There is no significant difference in gender distribution.2. Northern incidence in the south. Patients are the most in summer. The incidence was no significant correlation with the 24 solar terms.3. UC patients in our hospital with chronic relapsing, the most moderate and activity, and the incidence of the majority of patients in the left part of the colon and the entire colon. Most TCM syndrome type is to heat up to the large intestine. Most men are in the large intestine damp-heat syndrome, liver and spleen deficiency mainly. Most women are with mixed cold and heat syndrome, Yin deficiency syndrome, Spleen wet Yun certificate based.4. Chinese Herbs UC joint enema treatment can indeed improve the clinical efficacy of UC.
