Objective:The purpose of this study is to compare the accuracy of transferring maxillary model to virtual articulator by using three-dimensional head image reconstruction technology and CBCT head model alignment technology, and analyze the feasibility of transferring dentition model with virtual facial arch and virtual articulator.Method:Fifteen volunteers were recruited, and each volunteer was tested in groups A and B separately.Group A aligned the data scanned by CBCT tomography system with the virtual articulator by Geomagic reverse engineering software, and transferred the CBCT data of the volunteers' maxillary dentition to the virtual articulator.Group B used the three-dimensional head image virtual bow generated by SLR camera, intraoral scanner and reverse engineering software and then Aligned with the virtual articulator use the Geomagic reverse engineering software. Thus the maxillary dentition data scanned by the volunteer intraoral scanner were transferred to the virtual articulator.Group C used Diarc CS400 mechanical face bow to transfer the volunteer's maxillary model to Diarc CS400 semi-adjustable articulator, and used three-dimensional scanner scanner and dental data. Finally, the maxillary dentition data of group A and group B were deviated from the maxillary dentition data of group C.Results : The average deviation of maxillary model data between groups A and C was between?-0.8128 mm,0.8523mm?,the average deviation was 0.0201 mm,the standard deviation was between?0.2540 mm,1.2662mm?,and the mean deviation was 0.5210,of which the average deviation was within <0.3000 mm,accounting for 47%.The average deviation of maxillary model data between groups B and C was between?-0.5635 mm,0.5881mm?.The mean deviation was 0.3427 mm,the standard deviation was between?0.8618 mm,1.9393mm?,and the mean deviation was 1.2841,of which the average deviation was within?+0.3000mm?accounting for 27%.The paired t test was used for the average deviation between group A and group C maxillary models and between group B and group C maxillary models?a=0.05?,t=0.9160,P=0.37500.05,with no statistical difference. The 95% CI is?-0.2183,0.5436?mm.Conclusions: There is no significant difference in accuracy between CBCT head model alignment technology and three-dimensional reconstruction technology based on head and face to transfer maxillary model to virtual frame.Transferring maxillary model to virtual frame based on three-dimensional reconstruction technology of head and face has good repeatability, but its' operation process and accuracy control need to be further studied and improved.
