The Case Report Of The Application Of Facebow And Adjustable Articulator In Recoverability Internal Derangement

Objective:The purpose of this case report is to standardize the manufacture of occlusal splint,to improve the precision of occlusal splint,to shorten the adaptation time of patients,to increase the comfort of patients wearing mats,and finally treats the symptoms of patients and stabilizes the occlusal relationship of patients.Methods:The patients diagnosed as temporomandibular joint disorder(Temporomandibular joint disorder,TMD)by clinical examination,screened out the patients with recoverability internal derangement associated with adjustable articulator,and transfer the true situation in mouth of the patients to adjustable articulator,then locating occlusal interference points;The dynamic occlusal records were used to extract the personalized data on the rack to simulate the dynamic occlusion in the mouth of the patients and to eliminate the dynamic interference points on the occlusal splint.At 1st,2st and 4st,the patients were asked about their subjective condition,and the patients' mouth opening and measure the distance between left and right lateral movements,then record the data.Results:The facebow and adjustable articulator can regulate the production of the occlusal splint,increase the accuracy of the occlusal splint,the amount of the side adjustment by the chair is little,the wearing comfort of the patient is high,the treatment process of the patient and the subjective feeling of the result are satisfy.Conclusions:In this experiment,the patients with recoverability internal derangement associated with occlusal disharmony in TMD classification were treated with facebow and adjustable articulator.Based on the original theory of occlusal splint application,the accuracy of occlusal splint was increased,and the location of interference points was accurately located.The occlusal splint piercing area quantifies the tooth adjustment wear quantity,increases the adjustment accuracy.After the joint is in a comfortable and stable state,the occlusal splint is combined with the adjustment to determine whether a follow-up treatment is required.The short-term effect was obvious,the long-term effect needs to increase the number of cases further and follow-up observation,but theoretically can effectively prevent recurrence.
