Houkehuixuan written by Feng Shize who hailed from Taigu of Shanxi in the Republic of China.Feng Shize,whose courtesy name is Run Sheng,birth and death is unknown.Judged from the preface of Houkehuixuan,the book was finished in 1927.Houkehuixuan is a monograph on laryngology with principles,methods,prescriptions and medicine.In front of the book,there are Feng Shize and Feng Shiji,then the catalogue.At the end of the book is a postscript of feng shize.The text is divided into some books contains some famous Chinese medicine academic writings and ideas,who are Liu Huafeng,Yanshan Zhang Xichun,Jiangbao Fu Juanhou,Dai Jupu,Zhao Jian,Shaoxing Du Tongjia,Xu Ruji,Feng Shize.This paper discusses the valuable clinical experience of these famous doctors in the treatment of febrile throat,summarizes the principles and methods of diagnosis and treatment of febrile throat,and sets up 15 prescriptions according to the syndrome.Through mathematical and statistical methods,the clinical drug using in this book is characterized by bitter cold,adscription to lung,stomach,liver and heart meridians,heat-clearing,phlegm-resolving and surface-clearing drugs,which reflects the focus on clearing the heat of lung and stomach.Cooling blood and reconciling the heart and liver;Clear phlegm heat,open fire;the medicine focus on heat and sweat.The main academic ideas in the Houkehuixuan include:(1)collecting and summarizing the ideas of many experts;(2)paying attention to eliminating pathogenic factors;(3)paying attention to treatment based on syndrome differentiation;(4)comprehensive treatment;and play special feature.(5)giving full play to the characteristics of different specialties.
