Fukecaizhen written by Feng Huang who hailed from Daizhou of Shanxi (ShanxiDaixian now) in Qing dynasty. Feng Huang, whose courtesy name is Jin Tai. Judgedfrom the preface of Fukecaizhen, he was born in Yong Zheng twelve years(in1734),andstill living in Jia Qing eleven years(in1806) when the book was finished.According to Zhongguozhongyigujizongmu, Yang’s transcripts (in1809) is collectedin the library of Changchun university of Traditional Chinese Medicine. WangYaotingcollated and annotated Fukecaizhen. It was serialized in Journal of Jilin TraditionalChinese Medicine from1988to1989.Fukecaizhen was the crystallization of Feng’s medical skills and clinical experience.Its main body was divided into6parts: regulate the menstrual function piece, before thebirth piece,labor piece,births acupuncture description,thorn diseases and twelve wellpoints method. The principle and method in diagnosis, treatment of gynaecologicaldiseases were discussed,159prescriptions were set up as well.The laws of medicine application about Feng’s were studied with statistics method.The herbs with nature and flavor of warm, sweet; channel tropism to spleen, liver, kidney,function of invigoration are majority of Feng’s pharmacy, which embodied that Feng’spharmacy was peace, warm blood, reinforcing and strengthening the body resistance,value liver, spleen and kidney. Feng paid emphasis on warming and nourishing drugs;processing of medicines.Its clinical characteristics:(1)Treating Qi and blood equally, while emphasis one ofthem depend on situation(.2)Regulating spleen and stomach, and valuing both medicineand food supplement.(3)Paying attention to acupuncture.(4)To determine treatmentmethod with serious condition of both manifestation and root cause of disease.(5)Emphasizing the essence of treatment in accordance with seasonal, local condition and thepatient’s individuality.
