Objective:Taking some colleges and universities in jiangxi province as the site, the present situation of college students' use of cosmetics and the epidemic characteristics and influencing factors of adverse reactions were investigated. Methods:Using multi-stage stratified cluster sampling, extraction of different categories of ordinary university(key undergraduate course,2 kinds of undergraduate course, higher vocational colleges),different professional(arts, science, engineering, and medical)and different grade reading university students as the object, through the way such as field, telephone, mobile phone, network in cosmetics or adverse reactions of questionnaire information collection;Epidata was used to establish the database and SPSS21.0 software was used for statistical analysis of relevant indicators.Results:(1)A total of 1,522 freshmen and juniors of 4 majors from 5 institutions participated in the survey, among which the ratio of male and female students was 0.6:1;(2)The utilization rate of cosmetics of college students was 92.84%,and that of female students(95.57%)was higher than that of male students(88.31%).The utilization rate of liberal arts students(96.71%)was higher than that of science students(92.93%),engineering students(92.78%)and medical students(83.93%).(3)Students mainly used common types of cosmetics(such as make-up,hair care, skin care, etc.),accounting for 81.73%;Secondly,special types(such as deodorant, sunscreen, bodybuilding, etc.)accounted for 11.10%.(4)the incidence of adverse reactions to cosmetics in college students was 10.83%.The incidence of contact dermatitis was the highest(8.07%),followed by cosmetic acne(1.20%).The incidence of cosmetic adverse reactions in college students(15.32%)was higher than that in key universities(9.12%)and second-class universities(9.46%).The incidence of juniors(12.89%)was higher than that of sophomores(11.56%)and freshmen(5.88%).The incidence of liberal arts students is also relatively high(16.63%);The incidence of female(14.33%)was significantly higher than that of male(4.55%),which was 3.15 times higher.(5)for the patients with adverse reactions to cosmetics, the top 5 symptoms were erythema(59.48%),papule(47.06%),edema(30.72%),herpes/vesicle(22.22%),and telangiectasia(20.26%).(6)multivariate analysis indicated that the main influencing factors of adverse reactions were allergy history(OR=16.75),female(OR=5.23),frequency of cosmetics use(OR=2.456),awareness level(OR=0.117)and medical specialty(OR=0.746).All P values were <0.05.Conclusion:(1)The utilization rate of cosmetics among college students in jiangxi province is at a medium or high level, and the incidence of adverse reactions is 10.83%.(2)The main types of adverse reactions were contact dermatitis, which was mostly found on the face and hands, and body visualization was found in erythema and papules.(3)Allergic constitution, female, awareness level of cosmetics, and frequency of cosmetics use are the main risk factors for adverse reactions.(4)Put forward prevention and control Suggestions from the aspects of product production, sales, advertising, monitoring and other links, and established the risk and benefit evaluation system and model of adverse reactions in cosmetics.
