Objective:The purpose of this survey was to understand the current status and influencing factors of Internet Addiction(IA)among college students in Anhui Province, and to provide a scientific basis for formulating strategies and measures to prevent and cure college students'IA;The survey also explored the harm of college students suffering from IA to the physical and mental health of college students,so as to cause all relevant departments to pay attention to the phenomenon of college students IA.Methods:The method of stratified cluster sampling was used in this survey.Students from 5 universities in Anhui Province were selected for the questionnaire survey. The questionnaire includes basic personal and family conditions,Young Internet Addiction Scale,Self-Assessment Scale for Anxiety(SAS),Self-Assessment Scale for Depression(SDS),Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI),Self-Injury Behavior Questionnaire(mainly including five kinds of self-injury behaviors such as high-fatal self-injury,self-injury caused by tissue damage,self-injury without visible damage,self-injury with potential harm,self-injury caused by psychological injury,a total of 31 items).Epidata3.1 and SPSS18.0 software were used for data entry, sorting and analysis.Non-parametric test(comparison between multiple groups using Kruskal-Wallis method),single factor analysis of variance(two-pair comparison between multiple groups using SNK-q method),?~2 test or Fisher's exact probability method were used to analyze the data;Univariate and multivariate logistic regression models were used to analyze the influencing factors. Results:A total of 9,638 college students were surveyed this time,including4,210 males and 5,428 females. The total detection rate of Internet addiction was42.5%,and the detection rates of mild, moderate and severe IA were 37.0%,5.2%and0.3%,respectively.Gender and IA degree:the detection rate of IA for male college students was 40.3%(mild,moderate,and severe detection rates were 34.8%,5.0%,and 0.5%,respectively),and the detection rate for IA of female college students was44.2%(mild the detection rates were 38.7%,5.3%,and 0.2%,respectively).There were differences between college students of different genders, ages, regions, types of colleges, personality types, father's educational level, and good or bad relationship with their parents(all P<0.05).1.Multi-factor Logistic regression analysis of IA found:Female college students(OR=1.224,95%CI:1.112?1.319,P<0.001),non-medical colleges(OR=2.058,95%CI:1.887?2.244,P<0.001)and northern Anhui Province(OR=1.626,95%CI:1.459?1.812,P<0.001)were risk factors for IA.Compared with first-year students,second-year students was a risk factor for IA(OR=1.123,95%CI:1.012?1.247,P<0.001).Compared with good relationship with parents, poor, average, and good relationship with parents were risk factors for college students IA(Poor:OR=2.230,95%CI:1.458?3.572,P<0.001;General:OR=1.995,95%CI:1.762?2.322,P<0.001;Good:OR=1.628,95%CI:1.510?1.811,P<0.001).Compared with the introverted personality of college students, the neutral, extroverted, and extroverted personality of college students were the protective factors of college students IA(Neutral:OR=0.590,95%CI:0.464?0.750,P<0.001;General:OR=0.580,95%CI:0.453?0.741,P<0.001;Good:OR=0.611,95%CI:0.457?0.819,P<0.001).2.The impact of IA on college students'anxiety and depression:Adjust possible factors such as personal and family basic condition,IA degree was a risk factor for college students'depression. The deeper the IA degree, the higher the risk of depression(Mild IA:OR=2.176,95%CI:1.973?2.404,P<0.001;Moderate IA:OR=4.158,95%CI:3.422?5.053,P<0.001;Severe IA:OR=16.990,95%CI:6.397?45.124,P<0.001).Adjust the basic situation of individuals and families, the degree of IA was a risk factor for college students'anxiety(Mild IA:OR=3.427,95%CI:2.790?3.779,P<0.001;Moderate IA:OR=7.162,95%CI:5.699?9.002,P<0.001;Severe IA:OR=22.899,95%CI:10.777?48.656,P<0.001).3.The degree of IA and sleep disorders:After adjusting for all possible related factors such as anxiety, depression, personal and family conditions, college students with mild and moderate IA were risk factors for sleep disorders(Mild IA:OR=1.330,95%CI:1.209?1.462,P<0.001;Moderate IA:OR=1.419,95%CI:1.162?1.734,P<0.001).4.Degree of IA and self-injury:After adjusting all possible related factors such as anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, personal and family basics, the risk of self-injury was higher in patients with mild, moderate and severe IA than in non-IA,the more severe IA was in college students, the higher the risk of self-injury(Mild IA:OR=1.836,95%CI:1.493?2.258,P<0.001;Moderate IA:OR=2.060,95%CI:1.472?2.884,P<0.001;Severe IA:OR=3.414,95%CI:1.432?8.142,P<0.001).Conclusion:The detection rate of IA among college students is high. The detection rate of IA among female, northern Anhui,senior,non-medical college students is higher than that of male, southern Anhui, lower grade, medical college students.Poor relationships with parents and introverted personality are risk factors for IA in college students. The risk of anxiety, depression, sleep disturbance, and self-injury in college students with IA are higher than that in non-IA students.Parents should strengthen communication with their children to create a good family atmosphere.Schools should pay attention to the phenomenon of IA among college students and carry out publicity and education about IA.
